The first two years I was bringing an older van for routine service and the occasional problem that comes with driving an old car. He was always honest and forthright and his prices were excellent. Eight years ago I bought a new car, and up until two weeks ago I never had any major issues. In fact it's a Hyundai Tucson it is a great car. This is the first time I needed a complete brake job pads and rotors. I left the station after an $800 bill, the car felt very good. I was on my way to vacation so I parked the car in front of my girlfriends house on a level grade. When I got back several days ago, and took the car back to my house, and tried to park in my driveway, which is an on a slant, I discovered the emergency brake was not working. I was upset, since this is an issue with the brakes, and should have been checked. I mediately brought the car back to the service station, The owner, who it up to that point had been very nice to me, actually just blew me off. I explained to him that is a problem with the brakes that I paid money to have fixed, that it's dangerous to drive around without an emergency break, and that I couldn't park in my own driveway. If you do a complete brake job, checking the emergency break before you release the car is a no brainer. The owner, who it up to that point had been very nice to me actually just blew me off. I was expecting him to say OK no problem I'll take a look at it right away, since adjusting the emergency brake is a 10 or 15 minute job at most. He actually had the nerve to tell me to come back in a week and he may be able to address the problem. Needless to say I will never use his services again.

Their bathroom is roomy and usually clean, that's what I stop in here to use most. For those of you who are coffee nuts they have a standard Coffee station. They've got your standard selection of snacks and drinks in the fridges. They also have a small utility section for bits for your car or house. Nothing major but its there so that's a plus. This place really shines because of the built in food counter. They have their own deli inside the "Bolla Market". They've got a whole bunch of refrigerated cold sandwiches and salads that are pre-made. They also make any cold sandwich fresh on request. They serve a variety of "hot foods" that changes every day. Some-days they've got some really good Lasagna, other days I've seen grilled fish, sausage and peppers are common, Penne w Vegetables in Oil, Home Potatoes, Lemon Chicken, Roast Fish, Mashed Potatoes, etc. It's different every day. Of course they have a hot grill for hot sandwiches too, but I'm not to sure which hours its open. I've come around as early as 2pm and it was closed, but have seen it open as late as 8. They also have a Hot Dog Station with Hot Dogs. Jalapeno Sausages, and a few Taquito-esque items. The only complaint I have about this place is that I managed to buy an expired Entamins item. I'm not sure how it happened, but I went back a few hours later to warn them and the item was removed (though nothing offered for my trouble. Overall the employees are friendly, I've never seen anyone be rude, though they might have one or two guys who are a bit slower then they should be at a Gas Station/Food Mart. Its latest iteration is a Mobil / Dunkin Donuts. Sketchy is how I would describe this place, most highway / parkway rest stops are. What I have to wrap my head around is that marijuana (up to 3oz) is now legal in NYS and that you can smoke in public. Pulling into the parking lot or pumps there were quite a number of people partaking. The pungent smell of Baja Gold was abundant. However, the bathroom here was surprisingly clean. And, I was able to get a medium dark roast without much trouble linguistically. Both workers were obviously immigrants and English was not their first language. The shop inside is very very small and they did carry the usual assorted array of donuts. Word to the wise, time your pull out and merge carefully back onto the parkway! The parkway is full of idiot drivers and when there is traffic or not, there is a lot of aggressive driving here.

However, the Dunkin Donuts is always more expensive than any other location for some reason. I get coffee with almond milk every where & it's $2 something but at this location it's always $3.52. Really? The bathrooms...oh dear Lord. Do not even stop here to relieve yourself!! You'd be better relieving yourself between your car doors at one of the pull offs on the right side of the Belt hahah not that I speak from experience or anything...but trust me, the bathrooms are heinous.
