Nice to see that some guests used them. * In-shower shampoo/conditioner & body lotion on wall next to sink. * M/W, fridge (although mine wasn't very cool & might need service), small coffee pot with a couple of coffees. * Breakfast from 6:30-9:30am on the weekend. It was very good... sausage links, egg patty, biscuits & gravy. Some cereal, waffle iron & a few carbs... bread, bagels. No fruit. Unsure if they had coffee... I didn't see drinks, but I carry my own espresso maker, so I don't usually imbibe. * Lots of TV channels including HBO & sports. Unfortunately, not many news channels or a weather channel. * Fast elevator. Yes, it matters if you travel as much as me. Cons: * Same as with any hotel since Covid, price... $175. I'll try not to comment on the clientele because that isn't under the complete control of the hotel, but let's just say it was rowdy and loud. Due to availability we needed to stay in 2 rooms. One room was on the first floor. The entire ground floor smells like they must had had a flood and it is now mildewy and moldy. The conference room even had floor fans going so I'd say that's a good guess. The workout room is itty bitty which is fine, but the treadmill wouldn't turn on and maybe I'm glad because the mildew smell and humidity in there was probably not good for breathing. The next room was better smelling albeit still slightly damp and smelly. But we had fewer towels than people and they couldn't provide any more towels to us because they didn't have any. They did offer to wash the two towels that we had and we'd get them back in over an hour. Seriously? That's just unacceptable and poor management of a hotel.

The indoor pool was warm and clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. All the reviews about friendly staff are a hundred percent accurate. From check in to check out, everybody was very kind and friendly. There's not a lot in Macon, Missouri, but this Comfort inn & suites was a great place to lay our head while we were visiting family in town. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the heater. On our last night, the heater started making a ton of noise. Which reminds me, I forgot to tell the front desk about it when we checked out, oops!

This is still a great hotel but, based on this stay, I'm lowering my rating to a 3-star. The two guys at the front desk when we checked in and they lady working the desk when we checked out we're all great. Professional, personable and efficient. The room was clean and quiet. BUT, and this is becoming more and more of a problem with hotel rooms, it was impossible to get the room dark. There were special blackout shades to keep outside light from interfering but there was a giant (actually it wasn't that big) bright green LED on the thermostat that gave the room a green glow all night. The lady at the front desk at check out said we weren't the first to complain about the green LED. She said that next time we should check with the desk and they'd give us tape to cover it. Misc LED's on the TV, microwave, smoke detectors, etc are making it hard to get a room really dark. Then at breakfast (yeah, I know it's free), they were out of bacon AND their signature cinnamon rolls. I overheard the breakfast hostess telling one guest that "THEY" never gave her enough bacon. Then I overheard her telling another guest that there were no cinnamon rolls because "the truck didn't come yet". This is still a nice hotel and we'll continue to stay here on our way west. It just needs to pay better attention to details, and the breakfast staff needs to be more hospitable and stop blaming "them" and "the truck ".

There were also a variety of condiments and spreads to choose from. In our room, we were surprised to have a Keurig with good-quality K-cups, Green Mountain brand.
