I'm not getting anywhere to receive it as hotels.com won't back the cancellation policy, hotel marceline won't answer their phone for them either and hotel marceline keeps stating a refund was sent that day but my bank looked into it and nothing has been attempted to be refunded. Don't book here if there is even a slight chance of having to cancel as you will be out the money. It doesn't matter if it says you can cancel they won't honor it.

They have a lounge area that has various breakfast bars, pop tarts, juice, water and a kuerig coffee maker in lobby area - about 25 feet from the furthest rooms. Entered address into GPS and learned this wasn't in Chillicothe, OH. It was in Chillicothe, Missouri! An hour later I called the Super 8 to cancel. I couldn't understand the woman who answered the phone very well, but told her i needed to cancel. She said some things that I couldn't understand, but thought I had cancelled. While I thought she agreed, I wasn't totally sure, so I called back to clarify and then understood what she actually said was that I could NOT cancel because I needed to cancel at least 24 hours before. I pled my case that I had only placed the hold an hour or so before and what she was asking was impossible. Still I thought I'd be okay, because I was to "pay at the property". Upon returning home, I checked my AMEX to find that I was in fact billed, $84.65 for the room in Missouri, as well as a room we eventually stayed at in Circleville, Oh, the Hampton Inn. Still I wasn't overly concerned, foolishly thinking that Booking.com, would certainly correct the error, but instead more frustration ensued.

The hotel itself wa's clean, had all the modern amenities and I was on par with what we are accustomed to. They have a complementary breakfast with a lot of options. The indoor pool was warm and clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. All the reviews about friendly staff are a hundred percent accurate. From check in to check out, everybody was very kind and friendly. There's not a lot in Macon, Missouri, but this Comfort inn & suites was a great place to lay our head while we were visiting family in town. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the heater. On our last night, the heater started making a ton of noise. Which reminds me, I forgot to tell the front desk about it when we checked out, oops!
