My husband and I come here every six months for a cleaning by Angela. She does a really great job and it's so painless that my husband often falls asleep during it! I also recently came here for a few fillings. I found out I have a hypersensitivity to one of the anesthesia meds they use and they were very accommodating. Overall, their entire staff is very friendly from the receptionist to the technicians. Denise is the best! The dentist, Dr. Lee is also very nice, professional, and skilled at what he does. My fillings were pretty much painless after the shots. The office itself is very clean and looks modern. Moa dentist is just the BEST! He and his staff are super-kind and friendly, and they don't try to sell you services you don't need. amiability is a great attribute for any dental staff to display, this isn't what sealed the deal for me. What keeps me in that chair for everything from cleanings to crowns is the professional and virtually painless way in which Dr. David and the staff get the job done. I no longer feel any apprehension when going to the dentist, regardless of what the pending procedure may be. And that is saying a lot! Receptionist claims to be the manager as well. She can't speak or understand english fluently and only agrees with what you say. She can't perform her job assignments accurately if a language barrier exist. All of this came about while trying to verify my dental insurance. What a rip! I went about two years ago to establish care after moving back to the area. I had had multiple dentists in the past years prior (and after) due to moving around a lot. Got a panoramic x-ray, got evaluated by Dr. Lee, etc. Well, lo and behold, they told me that I had 8 cavities -- yes, 8 -- when I hadn't been told any of this 6 months prior at another dentist's office. Needless to say, I got a second AND third opinion, and both dentists afterward said that I was fine and that I did not have such 8 cavities. I just found a new dentist after moving to yet another area, and today he, too, told me that I was perfectly fine. Another thing that I was told by my new dentist today: I have wisdom teeth that have been there for quite some time, and that I need to get them removed ASAP. Why MOA dental group decided to tell me about my "8 cavities" yet not about my three wisdom teeth? I have no idea. Actually, I do -- it's so they can charge me for unnecessary services and put me through unnecessary pain. They obviously didn't tell me about the wisdom teeth because they wouldn't be the ones doing the procedure. Ridiculous. read more

Billed 3 times more than estimates and awful pain experience. The office is unprofessional. They gave me an incorrect estimates with careless confirmation. Doctor wanted me to get an advanced approval of my primary doctor to prescribe antibiotics, so I did. I don't know why he didn't give me a prescription after the removal. My face got bigger and bigger with awful pain and continued for 1 month..Disappointed. read more

I was looking for a dentist in the South Bay and came here on recommendation of a friend and am very pleased. This is simply the nicest dental office I have ever been to. Comfortable contemporary environment, new modern equipment and very friendly staff. What I remember most about Moa are the beautiful Samsung flat screens on every chair. All the xrays and even photos of your teeth are displayed almost in real time in HD right in front you. The other plus is you get watch TV. This past session I watched Two and Half Men. The last session I watched Hangover. The dental assistant even turns up/down the volume between procedures for you! More importantly, Dr. Lee is super honest and his prices are fair also. This is the only dentist office I ever felt comfortable at. I went here last year for a cleaning and a few fillings. I needed sedation (as I always do) and they made me feel so comfortable. I was referred to MOA Dental by the Army to fix a tooth that had been broken. The administrative staff, support staff, and dentist made the process as perfect as possible. Starting from the beginning, the receptionist was both friendly and professional. The office makes every reasonable effort to prevent CoViD-19 transmission, including temperature screening and a questionnaire, but has figured out how to do so without slowing throughput. After a very brief wait, I was taken care of by a dental hygienist. She was remarkably knowledgeable and friendly. She explained what the doctor would be doing during the visit and had the knowledge and experience to answer all my questions. Once the dentist arrived, he displayed images (x-ray, photographs, etc.) of my teeth on a TV screen positioned in front of me, and talked me through his proposed course of action. I so appreciated MOA Dental Group's commitment to keeping patients informed at every step. Even more, he emphasized my role in making decisions, where many medical professionals are less able to include patients in the decision making process. I cannot recommend MOA enough. As I begin to transition out of the Army, I will make every effort to continue being seen by MOA when possible, despite a 60 minute drive from my apartment to Torrance. My 1st visit was for orthodontics consultation (free). They did an excellent job of explaining every detail and they also use high-tech x-rays for my tooth / face / jaw x-rays...the staff are very gentle too. And while still saving up for it (yeah I'm broke...), they won't push me to do it. They are very understanding and very helpful. My second visit was for a cleaning appointment. I came in earlier & there's no waiting at all! I was done fast & painless. This is the most comfortable dentist clinic I've ever been. I've been to several and never matches MOA DENTAL Group's standards at all. Very friendly, helpful staff and professional. The place is very clean, never over crowded. They actually have the TV on so you can take your mind off your teeth while they clean it...unlike other clinics that uses it just for "show" (pun intended) but never turns it on. I got an inlay done here after a filling chipped and I had to get it entirely removed. He doesn't speak English too well, but I didn't have much trouble communicating, and Dr. Lee is so incredibly gentle, flexible and does such fantastic work, it more than made up for it. I received a temporary filling while I waited for the inlay mold to be sent, processed and the inlay to be shipped, but I told him I needed to get it done on June 5th in the morning because I would be leaving town that day. He said okay, would rush the order, and the operation would take a 1/2 hour. $500 and two weeks later, I arrived at the office at 8:30 AM, and was out of there by 9:00 am. 30 minutes just like he said. Novocaine's after effects are never pleasing to look at, but I was gleefully drooling off the side of my mouth on my drive to Vegas this morning because the experience was so professional and efficient. EDC is this weekend, and I hear that rolling makes you grind the hell out of your teeth. LA people, go to Moa Dental and get those canines fixed after you blow your minds (and molars) this weekend. read more

I have returned to them whenever I am in need of dental work, and throughout my wisdom teeth extractions, cavity fillings and routine check ups, I have been completely satisfied with their great work. The cost of care there also very reasonable. The office itself is extremely well-kept, modern and has state-of-the-art equipment, and my appointments have always started on time. I was one of those terrified panic attack kind of dental patients who always felt excruciating pain with every visit. I had nothing but awful experiences up to this point, and only went initially because my friend recommended them. I told Dr. Lee about my issues, and he understood. He told me he wanted to try something other than Novocaine and I was nervous, but thought that it couldn't be worse than what I had already experienced. I am so glad I trusted them! Cheiko, Masami, and another girl, I can't remember her name, but think was Selina, were so patient with my anxiety, and were so gentle, I didn't even feel any pain with my root canal, and crown. I could feel their genuine concern in their careful use of their implements. I didn't even have pain or swelling the same night! Amber was so sweet in the office, she made sure I understood all of the plans, and even called me the day after my procedure to see if I was ok. I was very impressed with the technology at this dentist. They took a picture of the crack in my crown, and then put the picture up on the big screen TV in front of me to show me what was going on. I am very happy with the replacement crown. The waiting room and restrooms are modern, stylish and comfortable. The front desk woman speaks English as a second language, so sometimes I have to ask her to repeat herself, but she is always extremely friendly and professional. This is the best dental office I've ever been too. The place is always clean, the most I've waited for an appointment has been about 5 minutes, the staff remembered me everytime, and they're great, fun people to chat with, very friendly, especially the ladies at the front desk :) I got my first ever root canal done and it went perfectly. They're not scary at all. The doctor and staff explained the entire process to me and it helped to relax my nerves since I'm not a fan of dental work. I would gladly recommend this place to anyone looking for a dentist. 10 stars! Ps. I have no insurance and this is how awesome my experience was. The receptionist was rude. Do i exist when i go there or am i just a dollar sign?

Dr. Lee makes going to the dentist's office painless and comfortable. I've always dreaded even a mere teeth cleaning or cavity filing for fear of searing pain in my mouth. I've dentist hopped all my life and never found a dr. I really liked and stuck with. Dr. Lee uses Novocain that actually does it's job after one shot and is very gentle with my mouth and face. I came here about 6 months ago for a root canal and you know the saying, "it's as fun as a root canal"? I don't get it. A root canal is as fun as sitting in front of my computer writing this review. It's not terrible but you want it done with so you can go eat something..The dental assistants know what they're doing and are equally gentle. The x-ray machine is non-invasive.When you wait in your chair for the dentist to come in, they turn the flat screen on and let you watch tv. Something as simple as watching a little tv beforehand really loosened me up to getting my mouth invaded like d-day. I highly recommend MOA dental to everyone bc they're great, professional, gentle, and clean. Also, both my mom and dad got dental implants, which is what MOA is known for, and I'm so happy to see my parents' old smile back and able to eat rock solid foods again read more

I went to Moa Dental office today, and I was so frustrated. The office lady... When I gave my insurance card to her, I wanted to check my benefit which can cover at Moa dental. She kept asking for my social number and I didn't give it to her, because they can usually check w/ my id # on the insurance card. BUT, she couldn't read the id #, and she especially couldn't read between O for orange and #0. It looked so non-professional. So after I told her I would come back later so I could check another dentist. The good thing was that there was a dental office next to Moa. When I checked with this new representative, the Moa dental office lady just came in, and took the pen from me which I accidentally took from Moa dental. It was so rude and unprofessional. I called in and asked for a copy of my x rays and was notified that I would have to pay extra for my own emailed copy. After asking how much and waiting on hold because they didn't even know, I was told that I had to pay $60.00 extra because I was prone to sharing them with another dentist. I've been coming MOA Dental for past couple years and got cleaning and I also got done my fills and cavity treatment. I just went yesterday for cleaning, everything was totally fine!! EXCEPT the Japanese lady, who seems not receptionist at desk checking me out, was not nice and the way she talks was way too casual, like talking to friend or family. I'm not your daughter and I'm not friend, neither acquaintance. She also came up and ask me to sign couple of papers for agreement to getting treatment for cavity and fills in more than a year ago. And the point was ** I DID SIGNED THESE PAPERS AT THE DAY I GOT TREATMENT*** So they lost my papers, SOMEHOW. I was confused and couldn't get it right away, because, IT WAS MORE THAN A YEAR AGO. She said "yeah, Japanese patients are usually fine (which I am not fine with it) , but we also have so many non Japanese patient who are very picky (kind racist), and somehow we start organizing our patient record now (somehow? MUST BE ALL THE TIME) and found out we are missing your papers (what a heck...)" Then she continued "I know it already done by long time ago, but we supposed to get your sign to agree all these blah blah blah, before procedure" If it was so true, then you guys are start doing all big/small treatment without patient agreement...? I have extremely high dental anxiety but everyone at MOA was so kind and patient, they helped me relax a bit. The office was very modern and clean, and they have all kinds of high tech machinery. Angela, the hygienist, really took her time with my cleaning and was very gentle. The reason I came to this office is because they offer nitrous oxide for even simple procedures, and as far as I can tell they are the only office around that does that. They also offer conscious sedation at a reasonable price. I highly recommend MOA Dental! read more

I've been visiting MOA Dental for a few years now - excellent dentist and staff. They try hard to maximize dental insurance coverage. A couple of times they tried the least expensive option first (and they turned out to be the right decisions) - like salvaging a tooth instead of root canal. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the dentist is great. There are a couple of negative reviews here that aren't related to the actual quality of dental care. I've lost a lot of time and money on bad dentists - MOA Dental is wonderful and worth visiting. My first visit was a no-pressure/no-obligation exam. read more

I literally go out of my way from Long Beach to go to this office. All very nice, really great office, great at explaining stuff. I'm also high fear, and this place is fantastic for anyone else who is high fear. It's funny how I still get nervous but honestly I barely ever feel pain while here. If I do feel any sort of pain, it's mostly from the needle but he does the shots slow or something so this pain barely registers as a 1 for me. read more

Completely wasted my time this morning. I asked multiple times if they saw infants for tongue tie and they said yes. Canceled other appointments. Waiting 20 minutes at the office. Brought my infant back to the room and waited longer. Only to have them come in and saw they feel I should go to county for the infant. Perhaps they didn't know I was going to pay cash and thought my ppo wouldn't pay them for the infant. Regardless their staff is clueless. read more
