Great service! Fresh HOT food! My 4 year old inhaled her chicken wings on the ride home... her 1st bite she said..."Mmmmm, this is good". I ordered a turkey wing with rice and gravy, Mac and cheese and collards....OMG... I'm trying to take my time eating so I don't feel miserable....but LAWD JESUS....SO FREAKING GOOD! I'm waiting on my husband to come in and open up his fried catfish plate so I can ask for some... I'm greedy but I don't even care especially when it comes to DELICIOUS FOOD! read more

Not a review but a request!!! If y'all are going too be closed Monday/ Tuesday can we get soMe dressing during the week ?!?! Especially since it's holiday time . read more

It was all right very greasy. But it was the end of the night. Not as much flavor as I thought it would all have. But overall not terrible.

The guy who works there is rude, impatient and incompetent. Last night he incorrectly took my nephew's and my order then proceeded to act as if we were wrong for asking about the rest of our food when they finally brought half of it out. Then when we asked about purchasing the sides we asked for earlier it just sent him over the edge and he lost all professionalism. Haven't been to this place in a while and will probably never come back. I don't like feeling like I'm incoveniencing you by trying to givyou my money. This was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. You shouldn't have a business dealing with customers if this is the best you can do. read more

I love this place. The food is hot and fresh. I definitely recommend. Especially the fish. Also unlike most places where the sides aren't too great, their sides actually are pretty flavorful! read more

Flat Shoals Pkwy/Decatur, Georgia location: Went first time in early December 2022 on a Sunday and the cornbread tasted good but the collard greens tasted like they were cooked in too salty chicken broth and mac and cheese tasted like mushy plain noodles cooked in chicken noodle soup with no cheese flavor and dressing had consistency of soaked sandwich bread and tasted sweet like jiffy muffin mix. Maybe it was an off day. So I went back a second time on December-21-2022 and the cornbread and chicken tasted good, but the taste of the cabbage and mac and cheese was drowned out by the taste of salty chicken broth. After buying meals on two different days, to me the food is generally poorly prepared and over priced. I won't buy food there again. read more

Went there on Saturday and noticed the server weren't wearing gloves or masks while serving food. She kept flipping her hair with her gloveless hand. She even touched her nose then continued to serve food. I just left. Tried to call but no one answered the phone. Luckily it was me and not the Health inspector. Do better. read more

06/10/20 was my first in this restaurant. The customer service was great and the food is delicious. This soul food restaurant is the first restaurant I came across in Decatur ga with delicious food choices. I will be returning. read more

Mo Better Chicken - This place is the best It use to be one on the westside of Atlanta but this one is just as Great - Chicken Shop Near Me - Decatur, Georgia

Very fresh and good food. If you want your grandmother food. Came to Mo Better Chicken.

The food was delicious it's the customer service of the cashier that was horrible!!! She acts like she is the customer and I was the employee!!! Sensitivity training needed!! read more

I frequent this spot at least monthly. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very fair. I usually get one of their family meals that'll included 8+pieces of chicken and two sides + rolls. They even threw in a few extra pieces the last visit. The restaurant is set up cafeteria style. The collards and mac & cheese are always on point and the chicken is good as well. read more

For this side of town they are very good first time here and can't complain the kooliad is even good lol or the pink juice is to die for lol

That was some of the nastiest macaroni I've ever tasted. It was The equivalent of craft with not enough milk.

Customer service is the nasties & this is not the first occurrence. They don't know how to talk to paying customers that support their business. Lady just mean-mugged me down. This place needs 30 days of training for all their staff. read more

I love this place. Travel all way from Snellville for it. Only had fried chicken. Tastes great IMO. Green beans were good. Cabbage was so so. Yams... um no. I think I had colllards once and no complaints. Pricing is good for what you get. read more

The baked chicken was fab, my family stole the rest of my food. Also bought a turkey wing dinner my family demolished...collards best I've had in a while. read more

Good food, good choices. I love the turkey wings, fried fish, oxtails, etc. Sides are tasty and the staff has always had a great attitude when I'm there. Been in Decatur 2 years so I get food from there quite often. Hope my experience continues to be positive. read more

I come here when I want to taste home cooked food without cooking it. The meatloaf is my favorite the food is good and filling.

One word WOW! That is what MO Better Chicken is. I went last night because of a friend recommended it. I was skeptical at first until I read the reviews on yelp. I got three chickens fried chicken wings greens and yams. It was GREAT! , I came back today and once again no disappointment it was BETTER! I agree this place is UNDERRATED! read more

The food is average. Service is good. The Turkey Wings, black eye peas, yams and cornbread always hits the spot. Never had the the chicken. But the greens ARE the best and freshest in town. read more

After fellowshipping with Power of Faith Family Worship Center around the corner, I ate here for what I think is now my 4th time. As usual, it was delicious, once again I enjoyed the outstanding chicken. However, as I dined inside the premises, I experienced something just a little different this time, which caused me to remove one star from my previous reviews. Coming out of the Sanctuary there were a lot of people waiting in line - fine - I see no problem with waiting a couple minutes for quality. Perhaps on account of all the orders/all the food being baked and fried, it was very warm inside there. The 1st of May temperature was just 80° but without air conditioning or even a couple of fans, it definitely took some enjoyment out of this meal(wiping off my forehead and cheeks of the constant sweat). Other than that I would've given them a 5 star review again. Just a tip, FYI; management, please get a couple fans in there before summertime REALLY hits. read more

I haven't been to this restaurant in over 5 years, but the chicken is some of the best around. They serve other soul food, but go with the chicken read more

My husband and I live 5 minutes from this place and never tried it until 3 weeks ago. We were told about 2 years ago the food was good. And they were right. We've gone twice now and each time I get a veggie plate. The collard greens were cooked to perfection, so were the black eyed peas. The mac n cheese was cheesy and delicious and the yams were on point. The second time I got the green beans, cabbage, Mac n cheese and yam. The food is well seasoned, my husband had their meatloaf which they give you a HUGE portion. It was excellent, well seasoned with onions and green peppers. The consistency was great. The price of the food is proportionate to the amount of food you get. Each time service was good. We're pretty much hooked and have told SEVERAL of our friends about this place. If you like/love southern comfort food, this is your place. read more

Mo Better is a staple restaurant in my house for good fried chicken like your mama makes. The fried fish and baked chicken/turkey wings are seasoned just right. The veggies are always fresh and the rolls are big & buttery. It also helps that it's reasonably priced and in the neighborhood. Give them a try you won't be disappointed. read more

I go for lunch almost every day to get a serving of black eyed peas or lima beans. I tell'em to put half beans & the rest juice so I can put my corn bread in it. And I get a piece of spicy fried chicken breast, a slice of pound cake, go back to work sit in the car so I can eat like I wanna. We also go sometimes @ nite and get food. To me the food is DELICIOUS so put down the salt & pepper shaker & hot sauce! My coworkers talking about I been holding out. The owner and other staff don't know no strangers and are very friendly. Just like kin. read more

I decided to check out this place yesterday and I got the two piece chicken dinner with rice and yams and cornbread. The chicken had some type of aftertaste that I couldn't figure out but it wasn't pleasant. It tasted a little bit better after the skin was gone and I drowned it in hot sauce . The yams and rice were edible...nothing to write home about. Overall this will probably be my first and last visit. As a plus the server was personable. read more

Food is very good. I love their baked chicken, collard greens and mac& cheese. Their corn bread is the best homemade that I've tasted in a while. Love this place. I recommend you try it. Staff is pleasant as well. Ms. Chester read more

Omg the food and chicken is good for the day and the owner and her sons are very nice! And she treat her employees very good!

One of the best soul food in Atlanta collar green off the chain

Food is good but service is NOT!! Forgot part of my order and as I explained when I called, I do not live close to the restaurant. They could have offered to refund me my money but they continued to say that they don't know what happened but next time when I come back they will replace what was missing. That's fine if the location was convenient but do not inconvenience the customer and brush me off as if my money or my patronage is insignificant. If I can go out of my way to visit your establishment please go out of your way to rewrite your wrong. They can keep that change because there are other places that I can spend my money! People in the service industry need to understand that the level of service is what makes a customer want to return. Unfortunately this was not the case. read more

10.26.18. My husband brought home the turkey meatloaf. It tasted like unsalted dog food. Horrible. Rice was overcooked. Cornbread was hard as usual. The collard greens were good. $9.71 for nothing. They have really gone downhill in the last 2 years. They need to lower prices for this crap...and hire a new cook! read more

Today was my first and last day at this restaurant. I came in and stood in line to order. I needed to use the restroom, butthe two women serving were busy so I walked to the back and used the restroom. When I came out ready to order, the Indian looking woman on the register told me off loudly in front of all the customers that I was not to use the restroom. I said, umm I didn't know. She said there's chairs there. There were no chairs blocking the restroom door so I was confused. When it was time for her to ring me up, I told her again that it was my first time in the restaurant and I didn't know I couldn't use the restroom. She said very rudely "that's everywhere. It's a pandemic going on. You can't use anyone's restroom. " I've been to several eateries since COVID started and no one ever told me that. And it makes no sense because what does that have to do with a Respiratory infection?? She then forgot to give me my rice and silverware. I had to ask for that. What appalled me was that even after telling her it was my first time there, she never apologized or felt any remorse for being so rude to me over something so petty in front of people. I will also add that the food wasn't worth getting cusses out over. So with that in mind, I would never ever return to this establishment to eat nor would I encourage anyone else to eat here. read more

The guy at the counter he's a bit chubby with curly hair and droopy lips... He has the worse attitude. I see why they don't have customers during peak hours (lunch). I got my money back from his unprofessional butt after he tried to hold my chicken hostage because I saw the $4.99 special on the window before he took it down; wanted to charge me regular price for it too. What's so funny, I mentioned it to my co- worker and she had the same rude guy in April and walked out before being served. Never again would I step foot in that place. I love reviews, we can be truthful about BAD BUSINESS! read more

I eat here pretty frequently and always order the same thing. Boss wings ! They are spicy and a little sweet but so good trust me.

Horrible customer service. Called back to ask why and got cursed at and hung up on. No more of my money being spent here!
