I lost my SIM card and needed a replacement without losing my phone number. Once I found the actual store, I told the girl at the front I was looking for someone who spoke English. She brought me to a nice man who had very good English and understood when I said I wanted a replacement SIM rather than a new one. Showed him my number, ID, and paid 59 pesos and within minutes he had a new SIM activated. I put it in my phone and it worked right away. Simple, easy, and cheap enough for my boneheadedness of losing my SIM card.

Unfortunately my experience with them was not great. I…read morepurchased SIM card, it worked a few days, however, the SIM card and the phone stopped working after a few days. Telcel chat support (only in Spanish) was not helpful so I had to go back to the store. Initially the person told me that I used up my data (I purchased for 15 days where I only needed 8 days), as of yesterday when it stopped working I only used 3 days. Since he was confident that the reason was the lack of data I had to buy more data for 30 days, where I only needed for 4 more days. Unfortunately that DID NOT fix the issue, still could not call or text. I demanded for refund since they forced me to purchase something I did not really need.. they were adamant and refused. I just purchased there, 15 minutes ago, based on the guy's recommendations...HELLO!! For a brief moment it seemed to have worked so I just left (knowing that I completely wasted my 200 pesos f'or extra data that I wont be even needing) and again it stopped working an hour later. During my precious vacation time I wasted many hours, $$ (for only half good SIM card)

I'm visiting Mexico for a few weeks and bought a prepaid 30 GB data plan (500 MXN) at the AT&T…read morestore on Av. Insurgentes Sur 455, Cuauhtémoc, CDMX. The salesperson promised it would easily cover my stay. Less than 24 hours later, the service became unusably slow -- I couldn't even use Google Maps, which is essential for any visitor trying to move around the city. Apps like Instagram and TikTok also stopped working properly. I went to another AT&T branch (Fuente de Cibeles) and was redirected back to the same store. There, I spoke with the manager, Diana Jacobo, who kept me waiting for over 45 minutes without offering any real solution. At one point, she even had her employee, Eduardo, call AT&T from his personal phone and pretend to be a customer instead of contacting AT&T through official store channels as a manager. After wasting more than 45 minutes of my day -- and completely ruining part of my time as a tourist -- she rudely refused to issue any kind of reimbursement, which would be the bare minimum and ethical response when a customer pays for a service that doesn't work. This level of service is unacceptable. I strongly advise other travelers to avoid this AT&T branch -- or AT&T Mexico altogether -- if you rely on a functioning internet connection for navigation or communication. AT&T should immediately review this store's management and hold the responsible staff accountable.

They also found that one of the parts was from a whole different model of iPhone. I now have to purchase a whole new phone.
