I moved to Florida a couple of years ago but continue to fly home for my medical care here at Horizon Healthcare. The biggest thing for me is that they actually listen to what I have to say and, even though I'm NOT a doctor, consider me an important part of my medical team and discuss my concerns and suggestions, keeping me informed and a part of the decision-making process! He didn't even come in a second time to tell me what was going on and that's unusual for a doctor. I understand he was very busy but it still bothers me. In my own opinion I think I should have been hospitalized because I still can't breathe and for this I'm going to go to Mount Vernon and get care at crossroads hospital. I am from Fairfield and I shouldn't have to drive somewhere else for care. Sad but true.

Wouldn't let me go back until she was registered it was 2:39 am so of course I'm already annoyed . I get back there trying to text my mom what was going on a nurse practically called me a bad mother as I am holding my screaming child because I wasn't (focused on her) they then went to draw blood I wanted her father to do it because I was so distraught over my daughters seezure like shaking they pushed him out of they way and demanded I do it. They burst two veins in one arm then another in the other room while taking her temp analy they tore her.they then tried to get urine and when they did told me it was only a uti!!! I then took her to mt.vernin where she was born said she had a temp of 103 gave her Tylenol and kept an eye on her. She's fine now I refuse to go here again I will always go to mt.vernin
