There were two rooms and I sat in the long one (the ceiling arc reminded me of a tunnel for some reason) with the duck mural. The menu contained lots of Polish dishes and a dedicated duck section. A duck and pickles appetizer was served gratis. It spread easily on the accompanying slices of bread and was nice. I've not had duck presented like this before and when I piled a couple of the smaller pickle pieces on top the tartness added more complexity for the flavors. I'd order this if it was on their menu. Zurek soup tasted a little tangy and was filled with sausage, mushroom, potatoes plus a whole egg and was delicious. I wasn't sure what to expect but all the different ingredients made for an enjoyable bowl. The bread bowl also contributed by thickening the soup as it abosrbed the broth. The duck breast with smoked plum sauce was thick, cooked medium and very tender. There was a little too much sauce for me but I liked the different taste. The side of glazed carrots and peas had a hint of sweetness and completed the dish along with the potato gnocchi. Service overall was good and efficient. Would return.

I am from the United States so I can honestly say these were the best pierogi I've ever had (and my grandparents made great pierogi!) The service was attentive and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We dined around 4pm so we were seated right away but we were told that the other side of the restaurant was already booked for reservations starting at 5. I suggest making a reservation if you plan on dining at a typical dinner time. This was also on a Tuesday so I imagine they are quite busy throughout the week as well.

When we visited around noon, there were only two parties ahead of us, so the wait wasn't bad at all. We ordered the daily special, a chicken cordon bleu served with potatoes and a side of vegetables that tasted a bit like coleslaw. We also tried two kinds of fried pierogi: spinach and feta, and pickled cabbage with white mushrooms. It was my first time trying pierogi, and I really enjoyed them. They reminded me of dumplings, but were served with sour cream on the side, which added a nice touch. Ordering was very straightforward. You simply place your order at the counter, and the staff will bring the food to your table. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.

The decor of this milk bar was by far the most inviting of the ones I've seen or visited on this trip. While outside checkout the cool cow models below the windows which were enclosed with the exterior lighting. Inside was full of greenery and bright. Even the menu stood out with the colorful handwritten blackboard. Staff were very friendly. I grabbed an open seat and shared a table with three others. Staff came over to deliver my utensils and quickly highlight the menu. I walked up to the counter to place my order and pay. I decided to get the daily special and deviated from the Polish cuisine I've been eating the whole time here. The mushroom soup was big and delicious with a strong mushroom flavor. The chicken curry was meaty and tasty sauce with fluffy basmati rice. Well worth visiting and I can see why this place was busy all day. .

We managed to snag a nice outdoor table with a nice vibe with a couple of other restaurants around us all seating next to each other. Inside this place is adorable and so unique. The decor and colors and the art. Just a neat place. The food and drinks also on par with the ambiance. Service can be slow but we weren't in any hurry. We ordered a round of espresso martinis and my one friend had a sparkling Rosè. The martinis were a little milky looking which isn't my favorite but these tasted good and not to dairy forward. It had a little extra ingredients in it than your normal espresso martini. Which made it different too. Hazelnut vodka and amaretto. Worth a try. We tried the Brie and salad baguette and the berry cheesecake. Both of these were stellar and so good and fresh. Loaded with toppings on the baguette the Brie was nice and creamy. The tomatoes were delicious. The cheesecake was so crumbly and the compote on top was house made and very berry forward. All of it was just the perfect afternoon pick me up and we were so happy with the serving size and all the dressing up in the plate. So pretty. One of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. They make all their desserts in house I believe. They have some great looking ones displayed . Loved this place !

We chose a table in the very back - red walls with red velvet curtains, smocked glass mirrors and crystal chandeliers. This was the most beautifully decorated breakfast setting we have ever seen. The food was really delicious, too. We opted for a smocked salmon omelette, shakshooka and an order of Apple pancakes. Everything was truly amazing and had a local twist. This place was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Krakow. I also cannot say enough about the service- our waitress was absolutely delightful and amazing.

This time, the place that I highly recommend is located on Plac Nowy in Kazimierz and is colloquially called "Okrąglak" due to the round shape of the building. The best for "Okrąglak" is in the evening/night, when munchies attack, or whenever you feel like having a snack. It's not a gourmet food, so be prepared, but the 'zapiekanka' will fill your belly in a satisfying way. My favorite 'zapiekanka' is a classic version, and it comes with just three ingredients: baguette, mushrooms and cheese, that's all. With a splash of ketchup and garlic sauce (sometimes), it's the perfect combination. There are many options of toppings to choose from. Everyone will find something which suits their preferences and appetite. Making the decision where to buy from your 'zapiekanka' could be overwhelming. In each window of the building there is a different kitchen/bar where food is sold. It's like a wheel of 'zapiekanki'. Of course, it's good to go where there is the longest line, but it doesn't work that way every time. We tried two places, 'Zapiekanki Bar Oko' and 'Zapiekanki Piecyk'. I know that you won't see a big difference between these two sandwiches in my photo, but the 'Piecyk' was definitely the runaway winner. It's all about the ratio of bread, mushrooms and cheese. It must be moist with a perfectly crispy outside baguette (not too crunchy), with gooey cheese and flavorful mushrooms with a hint of butter. The quality of ketchup is also very important. The legendary 'Endzior', which we skipped this time due to their long line, is also a must-try. For now, I'm voting for 'Piecyk' :). Also, you can buy just half 'zapiekanka', or ask for it to be cut in half to share. It's usually huge :).

Our group had a G&T, Prosecco , French 75 and a Negroni. All made well but did take awhile to come out. We also ordered some carbs ! Fries and their traditional mushroom Zapikanki, which translates to mushroom casserole. Even though it comes on bread! This is delicious ! Creamy buttery mushrooms with cheese and greens in top. Yum. Nice thick cut fries too. Glad we checked this place out. It was a little loud and the device a little slow. Definitely a happening place though !
