If you want to be completely ignored as a customer by the staff, go to MLD. At 2pm on a Tuesday with no major rush of business I sat at the entrance of MLD only to be ignored by three staff members. I finally walked all around the store and met a relatively helpful person in the close out section. He tried to help me but wasn't able to meet my needs. I went back to the front, was ignored a second time. I walked to the Northwest corner of the store and found an office with two employees. I told them that I was ignored for several minutes. They tried to provide an apology and see if I could be helped. At that point I was very much over being a customer and told them I'd rather go elsewhere. On the way back two of the employees remained. I ask if one worked there, she stated that she did. I told her that I was ignored by her twice (probably three times if I didn't ask for her attention). She was short with me and offended that I would dare say she ignored me, though it did just happen. I told her that she made me feel unimportant as a customer and I left. She's a bad ambassador for MLD. So again, want an absence of customer service at a place that has really pretty high end appliances and hardware? Look no further than MLD! read more

Called to request a quote on a specific appliance I was looking for. Saleswomen I spoke with wouldn't even give me a price as she claimed it was not an appliance she would personally recommend. Pressed her on it and she still wouldn't budge. Would never buy from here based on this experience alone. read more

Unfriendly staff. Unhelpful and unable to articulate what that actually do. It seems they determine by what you drive and your apparel if you can afford the appliances they sell. My first time at MLD today was absolutely awful. It started with talking to a very rude receptionist had long dark hair and glasses. All i got from her was dirty looks and an attitude that made me feel as if I shouldn't have even been in their store, which I will never go to again, which I know as I am a business owner that if any of my receptionists treated my customers this way they would be fired in a heartbeat. Not only was I treated very rudely by her, but there was another blonde girl up there with glasses who made me feel like I was in the wrong for interrupting whatever conversation they were having. It was very unprofessional to see her just sitting on the back counter. But clearly MLD does not look for receptionist to be kind and respectful. I will make sure all of my friends and family to never come here and will make sure the word gets out about this company. A HIGHEND COMPANY NEEDS HIGHEND EMPLOYEES!! Management is not doing a good job with this company and I can see it going out of business within 10 years with how they run it. A receptionist job is not that hard, and I am pretty sure chatting and sitting on counters at your reception desk should not be allowed. If i could give 0 stars I would. this place is a f***ing joke. Even people i know have not recommended me to come here. But I gave them the benefit of doubt, they lived up to everything I've been told. read more

We completely remodeled our house and bought everything from MLD including sub zero and wolf appliances. Despite being a large customer, we couldn't get them to return our calls in a timely manner. They sent several incorrect items, one item that was broken, and said they delivered something that we never received! Then they forced us to order a replacement! HORRIBLE service. They know that they are the only place to get some of the brands they carry, so they could care less about customer service. Certain departments are ruder than others. Having purchased from them several times over the years, it is still their biggest issue. It doesn't matter how much you are spending, unless you are famous, you will be ignored. Or if you come in dressed to the nines and flashy you might get attention. I just ordered a 72" custom Sub Zero and a large Wolf Range for a new home. I called several times and emailed trying to order a few other items. No replies. I called and spoke with someone in charge. Nothing. Luckily I was able to find better local companies that are kind. Wish I could have cancelled the big items! It shouldn't matter what you buy, everyone should be treated with respect. Not at Mountainland! read more

Mountainland Design is inspiring! Creative. State-of-the-art. High-quality. I love this place!!! Kitchen bath appliances and hardware are the primary focus of the company but the product selection extends to laundry, garage and cellar plus accessories to fill them in and trick them out. The products offered are top of the line and the showroom installations are inspiring. The new masonry wine cellar was superbly crafted and great to see. The appliance selection is extensive from common (Amana, Viking, Sub-Zero) to incredible with some designs and models that I've never seen elsewhere including: Gaggenau, Wolf, Miele, Asko, Verona, Zephyr. On the bath front, options are equally inspiring with many functional displays that get the creative ideas flowing. Being presented with so many fantastic ideas can make decisions difficult but more often than not, you'll know what you like when you see it here. If the decisions prove difficult, the staff here is tops: personable, well-educated and very experienced. Everyone I've met here has been excellent to work with from the staff up front & sale to the warehouse & delivery crew. They know their products and are great to work with. Looking for Reidel or Speigelau? MD has become my source for crystal and glassware with an excellent selection on display and in stock. As an added bonus, Mountainland Design occasionally hosts cooking classes and food pairing events. Check their events page to see what's cooking! In follow up to my post 10/2020: By luck I met an installer and explained my problem. He came to my home and and fixed my problem in an hour. I paid him $150 for his time. I further learned that it was not necessary for Oscar (Mountain Land Installer) to cut our cabinet. I don't know why Mountain Land wasn't able to do a professional installation after 4 visits to my home. So disappointing. read more

I had an awful experience with Mountain Land Design. I paid over $6K for a Wolf grill and extra for the hookup kit. They provided me a hookup kit for a Viking grill and refused to make good on the error. Mountain Land Design ripped me off. I had a choice to use them or Heber Park City Appliance. I would encourage anybody to use Heber Park City Appliance instead. Unless you want to get ripped off. They made a huge margin on that grill and did not provide the correct parts to make it work. Alex, Paul and Joe totally shafted me. I would never use this company again. Stay away. read more

Love the beautiful appliances that are well showcased. But the installation leaves a lot to be desired. The Kitchenaid stove they installed had a few issues including a fan that never worked. They have been asked many times to come back and fix it and they never would! So we have a completely non-working fan over a very nice stove The new kitchen faucet is beautiful also but has the annoying mix up between the hot and cold water. So if it's turned to cold setting, you will get hot water and vice versa. And we will have to eat the cost to fix this ourselves because they just won't make it right. read more

My daughter and I went to Mountain Land Design and were ready to purchase a Wolf stove and a Sub Zero fridge and heard that this is the place. When we walked in, the receptionist behind the desk was texting (or filing her nails) and did not even look up. I'm not kidding absolutely NO greeting at all. We walked around the place for 45 minutes and not one person asks us if we needed any help. We couldn't even find anyone to ask! I later was told that they prefer that you work with a designer and make an appointment. The showroom is lovely and does have a lot of good ideas but if you are hoping for even minimal customer service I would recommend taking some flares with you!! We ended up at Roth's - upstairs in Foothill Village. They are actually glad you came in and very helpful. read more

I was in the Provo location and they have a very good selection and beautiful showroom. However, the cusotmer service needs an upgrade. They are all about the sale, and then hope to never speak with you again. We experienced bad service after the fact....only to hear that sorry, we don't cover that... Not impressed. read more

I bought all my plumbing supplies from Mountainland and received the most superior service from Stephanie. Her knowledge about products and design was invaluable to me, and her support from selection to purchase to delivery was quite impressive. I would recommend Mountainland without hesitation. Chris in their hardware department was also terrific. We worked together at the store, but also online as well as by telephone since my original selections needed tweaking after the construction was completed. I should also mention that it is a beautiful showroom with many display rooms, making it easy to see items all set up. read more

My client and I order Graff plumbing fixtures in polished Nickel and the sales associate (not a designer) insisted that we had ordered it in polished chrome. We did not. The change necessitated an up-charge and then they said they would waive the restocking fee. The products were en route and would never have needed a restocking fee to begin with as the product had not been received and unboxed. I was told all of the products were in and I went down to pick up the completed order but the towel bar was missing. I was told another two weeks. This Tuesday I was called by the sales associate to let me know the towel bar was in. I went down today, 10/11, and waited 45 mins to be told that yet again, they couldn't find the towel bar. I called the assistant to the manager and she told me she'd track down the product and call me back within 30-45 mins. Did I receive a call back? Of course not! The customer service of this business is appalling. There are many other companies through which I can find Thermador, Wolf, Sub zero or Miele. RC Willey carries all of these brands and has exceptional customer service without the pretense. Orson Gygi also carries exceptional brands and has wonderful service. Standard plumbing carries most of the hardware and I can purchase directly from any brand not in a store. I will never bring another client to this business. read more

We bought 4 appliances to redo our kitchen. Our fridge had gone out and we thought this would be a good time to do the whole kitchen. When they gave us a delivery date of 2 weeks for a fridge and the other appliances (remember ours had stopped working), we tried and tried to see if they move the date up. They would not do that. So we ask them to take the fridge off the order. We called and called the sales man at least 3 times. No return called. My wife called others several times with no returned call. Finally some one called her back and told her that they had taken the fridge off the delivery. Well, then they tried to charge us another $28 because of the change. When people will not call you back and then charge you for their time, you may want to stay away from their services and products. Randy O read more

Purchasing my appliances from Mountainland Design was definitely the worst experience of my remodel. An absolute nightmare. I purchased a total of 6 appliances from them, and had serious issues with three of those. The first was a Sub-Zero refrigerator. I had been in discussions with one of the salesmen for several weeks about a model with ice and water in the door. It was extremely clear from all of our conversations that that was what I wanted. When I purchased the refrigerator and it was delivered, however, I discovered that the refrigerator I had been sold had no water or ice at all. I pointed this out and the salesman told me to come at a certain time in one month and he would exchange it. I was confused, but when I showed up at the time designated, I found it was their annual sale, and I had to stand in the snow and rain for 90 minutes with other customers, then run inside to the floor model fridge he wanted to swap me for. Only when I reached the fridge, he told me, oh no, I just found out there has been a mistake and I can't sell you this fridge for 4 more months. Whilst we were eventually able to swap the fridge, it was not for the model I thought I had originally purchased, but rather, we had to settle for one with an interior water and ice dispenser. We also bought a Meile steam oven, which it turns out had been dropped and broken irreparably. Although there own repairman had been the one to say it couldn't be repaired, it took another trip by the salesman and 7 weeks to get it replaced. Finally, I bought a used Cornufe stove that had a chipped door and drawer. I paid extra to have those replaced at the end of February. After many months, drawer came damaged and had to be reordered. In the meantime, I discovered that the stove they had sold me had been sold fraudulently, as it was reported to the manufacturer as broken and they had been refunded the money for it. The Cornufe rep told me it was to have been shipped back to them. Although Mountainland eventually replaced the stove itself, they refuse to refund the money for the door and drawer front, which were either taken with the original stove or never delivered to me. That is theft. Additionally, they also billed me $9100 for the replacement stove, which obviously was a panic moment. I have sent them numerous messages asking for the refund, or for the door and drawer front I paid for, which they have ignored. read more

Lovely selection but abysmal customer service in our experience. High-end appliance purchase (over $30K) but Saturday Receptionist acted as though we were imposing on her to help us find a salesperson, the salesperson assigned to us was not particularly knowledgeable about product features (fortunately we had done our research so we opened our smartphones and got needed specs from Wolf while he was running to find his product binder). Got a bid but when I called later to get a revised bid, no one could find the original bid. They asked me to come in to get the bid changed, which I did, but they still couldn't help me because they couldn't find my paperwork (and the salesperson unexpectedly took the day off). I made a second appointment, got the appliance ordered but then when they delivered, the salesperson had ordered the wrong refrigerator and they had to come back the next day with the correct model. Oh my goodness Mountain Land, invest in a reliable customer management system (for starters!). read more

I purchased a whirlpool microwave for my mom for Mother's Day- I was promptly greeted by the front desk and introduced to Sara. Sara helped me find a microwave in the correct price range for my mom! I was afraid at first as their showroom was filled with a lot of high price range items- so i didn't think I would find anything at the small budget I had! They did! I didn't want to pay for delivery and it was just a microwave so they helped me load the microwave in my car! Best Mother's Day gift so far! read more

Shay D. helped us with our purchase of some very cool door hardware. When we started to install the hardware, we noticed that some screws were missing from the manufacture sealed box that the hardware came in. Upon reaching out to Shay to help us, he immediately addressed our problem and was able to get us the parts we needed very quickly. He was very responsive to our request, and got us what we needed right away! It's customer service like this (before AND after the sale) that will keep us shopping at Mountain Land. read more

I recently went to Mountain Land Design with my boyfriend to look for kitchen appliances and bath fixtures. Super impressed! We worked with Heather for appliances and Jessica for bath fixtures. They were so kind and patient. They gave us more direction than we could've ever hoped for and put up with our indecisiveness. I have been recommending all of our friends / family! When the drivers came to deliver our appliances and fixtures they were so nice and cleaned up after they left. Overall, it was a great experience and we can't wait to go back! read more

Mountain Land Design has the worst customer service that I have EVER experienced. We purchased a range, dishwasher, sink and microwave from them. The dishwasher needed to be ordered from the manufacturer. We were told 2 weeks. After 2 weeks we called and were given the run around. The salesman never returned our call. We went to the store only to be informed that the wrong item had been ordered and now our wait time was an additional 4 weeks. We were told that they could expedite it if we paid an extra 75$. We cancelled the order and went to Orson Gygi who had the correct dishwasher delivers in less than a week. We are still waiting for the credit dept. at Mountain Land Design to refund our money. We purchased a Viking refrigerator from the clearance section of the store. Mountain Land assured us that the refrigerator had been displayed only in their showroom and that Viking would support the refrigerator under the full warranty. We have had numerous problems with the refrigerator and now find out from Viking that the refrigerator was purchased by Mountain Land after it was returned because of damage. Also, because of the age of the refrigerator, it is not supported under warranty. Now, we will have to replace the refrigerator. Concerning the other new appliances that we purchased, we were promised a rebate, however Mountain Land did not give us the proof of purchase documentation until it was too late and we were not able to collect the rebate. I would agree with other reviewers that Mountain Land Design has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Buyer beware! read more
