The person who owns the condo is trying to save money and just wanted a temporary fix to get him through the next few months. So, those on here who know me, know what I do for a living. I am a credit manager for a door company with four branches! I personally know tons of door guys and carpenters. Some who even owe me a favor or two for not putting a lien on their jobs. I have known some of these people for years & I have been at my place of employment for close to 12 years. Here's the thing, I never mix my personal life with my business life. Could I get a new door, frames, hinges & everything else needed at a slightly discounted price? That would be a hard yes. Do I know a few carpenters & installers that wouldn't charge me for labor? Also a hard yes. I learned early on not to date contractors and I also learned not to have them in my home doing my repairs. I always try to use locally owned and operated businesses and I luckily found Solid Home Solutions right here on Yelp. Michael was great! He responded to my quote request quickly, was easy to communicate with and his rates are more than fair. My front door was repaired as much as possible for now and Michael did a wonderful job. Actually, he went above and beyond to make it work. When the job was completed, I was sent a receipt via text in addition to a well thought out text explaining what he did, pricing etc. I am happy I found Michael on Yelp. I highly recommend giving Michael a shot. I found him to be reliable, honest and helpful. What more can you ask for?

Sure enough they came in the morning and worked tirelessly all day and completed all four jobs, including smoothing a cement wall, changing an area of drywall, changing baseboards, painting, changed the fascia and reinstalling an outlet related to patching a hole in an exterior wall. We are completely blown away with the attention to detail and the quality of work. PLUS they cleaned up the whole mess and left the leftover supplies. We are so happy. We immediately asked them if they were available to do more smaller jobs around the house and they were nice enough to do a couple of them that same day for a very fair price. Plus they were just nice and easy to communicate with. I would hire them again in a heartbeat without reservation. They are worth every penny. I am so happy and I will definitely be contacting them again in the future for any other jobs we have around the house.

They did come out and successfully resolve the water leak that was getting into my garage, which I appreciate. My main concern is the craftsmanship and finished appearance. As you can see in the photos, the pavers along the garage were not aligned straight with the garage door. When viewed from the side, the uneven line is very noticeable and unfortunately makes the finished work look sloppy. I would encourage Ryan to have a little more oversight of his crews, as he was not present on the day the original work was performed. The crew that came back to address the water issue was a different crew, and they were actually the ones who pointed out that the tiles should not have been cut shorter in the first place. Had the tiles been left at their original width, it would have avoided the alignment issue altogether. I really appreciate Ryan's professionalism and the fact that they ultimately resolved the water issue, which is why I'm giving three stars. Unfortunately, the quality and appearance of the finished work keep me from giving a higher rating.
