I really do love the Asian massage places and actually prefer them over the large chains that mention membership while rubbing your back. Honestly not much English is spoken, but that's fine because there does exist a mutual understanding. But in this case, it seemed like there was a mutual mis-understanding. The price list said that $60 was for 60 minutes, $90 was 90, etc. I chose 90 minutes and asked if I could use my debit card. They said yes, but it would be an additional $7 charge. I figured fine, I was in pain. It was an ok massage, definitely nothing special, but when I tried to communicate with her she really, really didn't understand what I was saying. So I gave her what I thought she deserved as a tip (I'm usually a great tipper, but also fair), and she shook her head and told me that for a $97.00 massage, she wanted twice as much. The massage started as an upper body massage and I asked if this was part of the foot massage and I was told yes. Then after the massage was almost complete there was maybe 2 minutes of the foot massage. I was told next time we can do that. As you can imagine I was unhappy because that was the whole purpose of coming in. Then at checkout they wanted to charge me for a full body massage which I refused to pay for because it was not the service I wanted. The girl I highly recommend is Amy. She is Asian and speaks little English, but she gives a relaxing massage. She gives a Swedish type massage that's not rough at all just pure relaxation. On top of that she is very sweet and appreciative. She can communicate with you from an app on her phone that translates Chinese to English. I believe she works everyday except Sunday, and she is always there on the week nights I came on. When I came earlier before on a Thursday she wasn't there so I Had a 1 hour massage with someone else. I didn't get her name, but she gave a totally different style type massage, but I enjoyed it as well. She didn't speak much English either but she asked if I wanted it strong, and I said yes. It was a very good deep tissue massage. I couldn't believe how strong she was, and how deep she can get. She did also stretches after the massage. Both were two different styles that I fully enjoyed. I can guarantee you Amy's style is one that everyone will like, but if you want a very deep massage than you would like the other girl. I'd try both and see which style you like better. Some may take off a star for the language barrier, but I won't because these women work very hard to please you. I've been to places where I did not have a good massage that spoke full English. I think with the price being only $50 an hour it's very reasonable, and I'm completely happy with my massage so I'm going to give it 5 stars. This is not a fancy spa place but it is very clean as you can see in the pictures and the massage was decent. With massages, they don't depend on the place, they depend on each worker. You can pay more in other places but some masseuse weren't that good. I'm glad we took a chance on this place and we will definitely be coming back.
