While I have no trouble understanding the high-level principles, the steep learning curve of our highly nuanced accounting software was endlessly daunting. Not surprisingly, I couldn't wait to hand off that aspect of my role and, in mid-2020, the opportunity finally presented itself. From the very first phone consultation to the latest reporting, Closing Your Books has been phenomenal to work with and has provided outstanding service at every turn. Having super-clean books makes tax time a breeze, and I can confidently pull numbers at the drop of a hat, which has opened us up to small-business loans and grants we might have otherwise missed out on. Lozelle brings a wealth of expertise in accounting and bookkeeping, and her collaborative, educational approach sets her far apart from the competition. I absolutely love that I learn something new during every check-in, and it's rare to find someone who empowers you to keep up with them. Lozelle is also one of the kindest, most supportive people you'll ever meet. I'm deeply grateful for the way she's made mentorship a fundamental part of what she does. She's not only helped me navigate a variety of challenges and uncertainties - pandemic-related and otherwise - she's also strengthened my operational skills and strategic-planning abilities. Deciding to hire Closing Your Books continues to be one of the best business decisions I've ever made. And, thanks to Lozelle, I rest easy knowing that we'll continue to make smart, financially strategic choices as we pivot, evolve, and grow. I love knowing that we have someone very skilled in our corner to help with anything we need while also feeling empowered that we own our own bookkeeping process. The recaps that she sent out after each session are also very valuable tools.
