After filing our returns last year we asked our CPA about taking care of maintaining our books, but weren't convinced the cost of that would be worth it. So, they referred us to Jasmine, we made the call, and within 2 months we had already saved 20x more money than we spent on her services. We feel like we finally got in some discipline and got control of our finances. She is a pleasure to work with every step of the way, giving us exactly what we need in a very organized and efficient manner. To boot, this year's returns were filed 2 months earlier than last year! Each month we are reaffirmed in our decision to hire her, and we can't thank her enough for everything she does for us. She's amazing!

I explained that I really didn't know anything about convoluted taxes and the family-related firm we'd gone with the past 2 years had been highly problematic - which is why we needed a new person/firm. They explained that fees were based on the number of forms. I scanned mounds of pages for both 2023 and previous 2022 year. This sat, unreviewed, for a few of weeks. When the person did look at them - I received a nasty email stating how I had "blindsided" them. Our past filings included many more forms than I had any working knowledge of when I first contacted. They assumed we would balk at the price & accused me of "blindsiding". I have no clue about taxes - which is why we were looking for a professional to do them. Because of the OR portion, no, it is not particularly easy to find someone outside OR to do the job. (OR has law that a CPS MUST be certified to do OR taxes) We would've paid the fair price based on the # of forms it turned out to be. Now - I'm scrambling to find someone only 2 weeks before Tax Day.

I have been doing taxes with them from 2013 to 2017. For 2017 I had given all the documents well in advance. Even then my taxes were returned on the last day. I stayed up all night going through them and found a lot of errors. Even then I payed them all the money they asked for no bargaining ever. After that I got 2 letters from IRS. I contacted these guys to get help as they had done the taxes. They said they are reviewing one notice and they will be a fee to file the reply with IRS. I said I will file the reply just tell me the computation of 2017 tax addition (Just a number) They waited till the last moment and then I get a mail saying they have filled a reply and I owe them $290. When replied back I did not hear anything back and then I get hit with a $243 Net 15 invoice and If I do not pay in 10 days 18% interest. I am really upset with these guys.

I was so happy when I reached out because Teresa is in another state. She was so easy and comforting. She is a forensic accountant so she knows how to analyze accounts. The last bookkeeper deleted files, deleted clients, transferred stuff to different software and made duplicate mistakes and left out many transactions. After Teresa showed me the digital footprint of what this lady had done I was very upset. The lady was caught and had to repay me the thousands of dollars she charged me. Then Teresa went back and re-filled my taxes for 2015 the correct way and we received a refund as a result. Teresa is ethical and honest. She explains all the tax laws in a way that is easy to understand. I highly reccomend Simple Sums Accounting for all your accounting needs!
