I hired this contractor to install a crawlspace door. Unfortunately, the door fell apart after only…read moretwo months. In my opinion, the quality of the work was extremely poor. I contacted the contractor to give him an opportunity to come back and address the problem. He scheduled an appointment but rescheduled it on the day of the appointment. We then agreed on a second appointment, but he did not show up and did not contact me. After that, I made several attempts to reach him by phone and text, all without a response. I ultimately asked him to refund the $400 so I could hire someone else to properly fix and replace the door. He did not respond to that request either. Problems can happen with any job, but what matters is how a contractor handles them. In this case, we paid for a door that failed within two months (after three times of being opened), and when I asked the contractor to make it right--or simply refund my money so I could have the work redone--he stopped responding. I would not recommend him. If you are considering hiring him, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing, including what happens if the work fails, before making payment.

On Dec 28th, my landlord/roommate's furnace was looked at by NJNG, she had her yearly maintenance…read morescheduled with them, and the tech told her that her furnace(we live in a mobile home...) was dangerous as the heater exchange was cracked, and he redflagged it..so we were without heat. My landlord decided to contact her warranty company, they sent out the most obnoxious guy who said NJNG did not know what they were talking about and he claimed he fixed it. Two days later the furnace rattled, whistled and popped. So again our heat had to be turned off. Then the warranty co had these two guys who didn't speak English, did not know where to look for the problem, and promptly said, "no good".I, in frustration went on my FB page, saw Brown's Heating, Cooling and Plumbing and wrote them explaining the situation. That SAME day, I got a response from Doug Brown who put me in touch with Paul Keator, who then came over THAT afternoon, and looked at it and agreed with NJNG....he told us we could have a new furnace in 2 days, which as of today has come true. Their quote and cost was even $1000 less than NJNG's quote. The techs came at 9am this morning, they were professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. Thank you to Doug for replying to my cry for help and for Paul and his help, and to the techs who came out today.....you all are great and you deserve an A+ rating.

Jacob came to the house to inspect the work as the workers completed the project. Upon completion and inspection of the work I asked if the finishing of the trim on the skylight could be changed. John from blue planet came out to do mold testing as we had a mold issue. He talked a great game…read moreand sounded professional. He pressured us into the work we needed done, telling us our mold spore count was through the roof . He did the work as described and did it correctly. After he performed the work he became difficult to get ahold of. So we became suspicious. We hired another company to do another mold test . We then found out that he charged us 13k more than we should have paid. After the second test we found that we still had a mold problem. He told us that he was cutting ties with us and refused to do anything. So , we are currently still in the process of trying to fix everything. Beware of John he's unprofessional and not trustworthy.
