I think where other people have come unstuck in comparing prices is the fact that jefferies farm often have very high spec cars, leather , aircon, ect. so you have to make sure you are comparing like for like. The garage will do what it takes to help you out. Whether it's a courtesy car, a lift somewhere or just a bit of advice they'll see you right. This is a place of regular customers and all are known by name. Servicing is efficient and you can often be fitted in as required. Pricing is reasonable - less than a main dealer but not the cheapest. The upside is good service and knowing that you're not being done. No MOTs (these are outsourced if required as part of a service). Parrington's are good at sourcing cars and will give you an honest recommendation. They will buy cars from individuals too and give a good appraisal. Premium makes are a speciality but all needs can be catered for.

A fair deal, new MOT and service thrown in without hassle or asking, they even got the road tax for me at cost. A first in my car buying expereince. I left them poorer but didn't feel robbed as 1 or 2 car purchases I've made before and suffered afterwards. Being told an hour before…read morecollection that the car has broken down; no communication whatsoever; wrong dates on all the paperwork including the finance deal; to add insult to injury the wheel alignment and balance were so far out that it made traction control come on whilst doing 70mph on the motorway. Took it in to get fixed, they did nothing so I went elsewhere and billed VW. No apology, just a refund. I thought I would go back to see whether it was just a bad time for them and give them a second chance. They outsourced the quotation without telling me and I was quoted over £1k for a tiny repair which cost me £40 elsewhere. If you want to be treated like an idiot who knows nothing about cars, then by all means go to VW in Guildford. Otherwise, avoid like the plague.

Would be 2 stars if it was a small independent garage. 2) High prices so I would expect better service. They service our car, but only because we need to use a main dealer to get the Ford warranty. Bought an almost new car, but was delivered with a scratch and a major problem despite all the talk about the checks they would carry out. Never managed to get the scratch sorted out - after 3 visits. Just too poor. Not exactly rocket science to get this right. I had to explain the problem and situation several times, why do they have job card if they don't write anything down on them or read them instead of asking the customer to repeat it all ? Delivery time for the car was longer than promised and no update and it was almost impossible to get updates from other than the sales person we initial spoke to - not great when he was on holiday.

When inspected by my local mechanic nothing had been done. Issue with condensation within the tail light cluster, they have looked at it twice and still no solution. Now they are saying we have to pay to have it looked at again. This has been an ongoing problem from the day we bought it.Had it serviced and a week later the battery light keeps comming on, again they are saying we have to pay for it.
