Both of my kids (ages 7 and 9) absolutely loved the camp with Mr. Sal. He is incredible with children, engaging, funny, and truly passionate about fostering a genuine love for music. They learned far more than I expected in such a short time, and the weekly recitals were a highlight, giving parents the chance to hear the kids play and sing. It's easily one of the best summer camps in Bellaire. The experience inspired both of my kids to continue their musical journey. My 7 year old now takes piano lessons with Mr. Sal, while my 9 year old studies with Mr. Roscoe. Although they have different teaching styles, each approach perfectly matches my children's personalities and learning needs. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Texas School of Music.

She studied first with Ms Estefania and later Ms Michelle, and both have been incredible with setting progressive yet realistic goals, clear communication with parents, and most importantly making classes fun and something my daughter is happy to come to every week. There are multiple performance opportunities a year, which is a big confidence booster and makes the repetitive practicing of a single piece very rewarding. The receptionist, Ms Bonnie, is also very sweet and helpful; even my younger daughter, who doesn't take music lessons, loves to come in and hang out. Thank you TSM!

And there's also a bar within the proximity of the school if you want to take a break and wind down. AND there's another store that promotes exercise and fitness if you're looking for a healthier lifestyle. Other than the location, like I said, this place is great. Everyone here is welcoming and have a passion to teach music. The manager is awesome and the employees are all professional but fun, so students definitely will have a kick outta learning. Hannah S. is the best teacher! I highly recommend her. She has glasses and occasionally looks like Tina from Bob's Burgers. Better sign your kid up fast before she leaves for college! Thanks, Music Connection!!

They don't talk to the parents about their child's progress. What they have is a grading card. They…read moregrade the kids on each lesson day. I didn't even know this until my kid asked me to sign the card. They can put all the nice words and all the stars in the grading card but you will not really know. Their principle is group teaching. A teacher teaches a small group of kids every lesson time. The manager can tell you all the good things of their method and principles of their teaching. But is this really what is happening inside the classroom? Are the teachers really doing what they are supposed to do? My child learned more in 2 months in a private one-on-one than he had learn here in 6 months. Here, nobody really knows how they are teaching your kid. You are not even allowed to see them during the class. You are allowed to peep through a peephole. A peephole! You can't even see whether your child is participating or really getting the time and attention of the teacher. And what if a teacher does not care about your child? You will never know. There is no real transparency in this school. I think that the one-on-one method of teaching is better. It maybe a little expensive but it is worth all the money. I think you will actually spend more money in this place for the amount of learning that your child will get in the same span of time, gas and parent effort. I understand that this is a business. But this place is all about business. I feel that their concern about your auto-pay outweighs their concern of your child's learning. I now call this place The Music Disconnection.

When I walked through the doors in 2022, I could barely form clean first-fret chords and didn't even know what a power chord was. Three years later, I was performing songs like "Sad But True" by Metallica and "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains--and doing it confidently. The reason is simple: the instructors are exceptional. Cameron and George are phenomenal guitar teachers--true technicians who understand how to build musicians from the ground up. They're patient, focused, and know exactly how to push you toward real progress. Jessica and Aaron, despite being young, are seasoned professionals when it comes to directing. Their musicianship is extraordinary, and they lead by example. You don't just learn from them--you rise to the standard they set. I give special credit to Trevor, the owner. He's a talented multi-instrumentalist who has built a culture that's serious about musicianship while keeping the environment fun and inspiring. His Pearland and Memorial locations both feel like real studios: pro gear, great lighting, clean design, and an atmosphere that tells you, "You belong here." I entered as a total beginner. I left as a House Band member. If you're an adult wanting to learn guitar, drums, bass, keys, or vocals--and you want a program that challenges you the way a skilled trainer pushes you in the gym--this is the place. School of Rock Pearland doesn't just teach you music; it transforms you into a musician.

I must add being the new kid is hard, especially in group settings, I really appreciate how much the owner Trevor took with my daughter on her first day making her comfortable. She jumped right in singing on her first day. Will is a great instructor, well they all are she's already had the pleasure of getting direction from a few if not all. The ballet testing and advancement is structured under the Sonshine Christian Syllabus which is available online to review. We have been very pleased with the recitals as well. Absolutely moving.

Nick Rawson was one of the first to get back to me, and was very forward with how he teaches (mix of theory, practicality/expectations, tricks for teaching basics to your brain, repetition/practice, and a whole lot of fun!). Nick has an extensive background and education in music - composition, theory. He also has his music street-smarts, as he's been a performer for many years. You can read more about him here: http://www.nickrawson.com/ Nick's lessons have made me a better musician, and a better performer. He's got a way of taking the pressure off of yourself to be/sound "perfect", so that you can let your brain learn how to play the guitar without any borders or walls up. He's always positive and encouraging. He is also quick to train you out of any finger misplacement or bad habits you might have developed, showing you ways that end up being easier on you (and he explains why that is). And if you get stuck on something, he'll work you out of the quicksand. Nick is an all-around excellent teacher. I would recommend Nick to anyone at any level. He also does piano and vocal lessons!

They both had different teachers at different times and learned new things from each. The flexibility of the studio to provide different instructors whenever a change is needed is invaluable. My husband also took Guitar lessons from Tony and learned a lot! He wasn't looking to perform, just to play for himself, and Tony was able to create a lesson plan tailored to his specific needs. I worked with Michelle when I was president of the Galveston Music Teachers Association, and I would (and do) recommend her to students all over the clear lake/Friendswood area since I retired from teaching 5 years ago.

Never heard back! Called again and left a VM a few days later and once again nothing. After a few weeks I called Rockin Robin and asked if they had any other guitar teachers other then Bojangles as I could not get in contact with them. She took my number and said she would pass it to the manager and finally I got a text back on the 12th of March which seemed like it might be promising. Told him what leave I was and the teacher I was looking at, he said that guy doesn't teach right now and gave the name of two others that he said were great. Didn't hear back from him, sent him a text on the 16 and asked if he was still taking students because I didn't hear back from him and I heard nothing back again. I have very high expectations because I know exactly what I want to get out of lessons and part of those expectations are communication.
