I don't think being pampered is ever a bad thing and at Santika Day Spa you are in for one hell of…read morea pampering! I had a one hour massage here ($90) and that was enough to have me floating out the door with a smile on my face. The service here is fabulous and the staff try to make every appointment like an experience. Make sure you are either early or on time though as if you are late they simply cut your appointment shorter. As well as massage they offer: - body wraps - facials - pedispa treatments - eyelash tinting - eyebrow waxing - face waxing Plus a variety of spa and body rituals that can last up to four hours. These are obviously more expensive (think $285 for 2 hours and 45 minutes), but they are extremely popular in groups.

Upon walking in, you're greeted with a rather serene and softly lit waiting area which seeps warmth, a gentle aromatic fragrance and firm yet comfortable seating -- as a visually impaired individual, the transition in lighting is a momentary hindrance, but the attending service are truly empathetic and are happy to guide you down the first flight of steps into the waiting area. This lighting is so calmly dim, in fact, that it may also be comfortable for those who live with lighting triggered anxiety. Well worth checking it out. We saw Catherine (spelling?), who exudes hospitality and warmth, making the initial welcoming into Santika very pleasing. If it's your first time, you will be required to fill out a small information form -- nothing invasive -- which is handled with a level of casual professionalism which makes the process an easy and comfortable task. It'll take you about five minutes, leaving plenty of time to drink in the surroundings and relax. You are given the option of paying up front or after the massage, both of which are dealt without any notion of your being a 'number' or a 'commission', which is pleasant to experience. There is an expected (and very minor) waiting time -- give yourself 10 minutes of waiting -- which seemed solely dependant on the number of staff working on the day (of which there was only one), but this didn't detract from the pleasant experience in the slightest. I booked my girlfriend in for a relaxation massage, which is now their one and apparently only form of treatment, for the great price of $90 for an hour. The treatment was a hot oil body and scalp massage, complete with hair cap, warm towels and an attentive masseuse. The treatment room was apparntly a little chilly, and the masseuse wore a rubber apron and latex gloves (which neither of us were used to seeing, but part of which may be ud eot the amount of oil used per treatment). Overall, girlfriend came out feeling relaxed, happy, feeling soft as butter and stating that another booking sometime in the future would be greatly appreciated.

My girlfriend and I got the Groupon deal for a 60 min massage. Firstly, nice girls there and a…read morewelcoming atmosphere. However, we found out that if you don't pay an extra 5$ it's a dry massage. I then asked if they take cards and they didn't even have a card reader..who does dry massages..i have to say I felt relaxed but the head rest was an uncomfortable gel pad and it seemed as if my 'therapist' was either new, not trained well, or thai massages are just very weak (felt like I was just being tapped)..they started at 215 and ended at 3 :/ not an hour and we weren't late either; no hands or feet were touched..seems like a very new place with much work to do: not worth it for me again, worst massage I've had.

Had a Groupon and made a booking, took a few text messages until a response was made…read more Then on the day, the foot spa was not working so I had no choice but opted for a 30 min sauna. The "sauna" operated on electric and took 15 mins until it warmed up, emitting a dry heat like sitting next to a heater. I wouldn't really call this a sauna at all. Then the 1 hour massage was very light, asked for harder three times and I simply gave up. Like the other reviewer, it was a rub rub, tap tap. I left feeling like I never had a massage and wasted 1.5 hours. The only pros were newly refurb place means newish equipment, but beware they look like they were imported of cheap quality from China...

I had a Recovery massage last night at their brand new store at The Glen Shopping Centre. The…read morefrontage is nice and the place is spotless as it is brand new. When I arrived at reception, I was greeted by the lady at reception, however I felt the Store Director who was next to her was unwelcoming. I was then showed through a door and got settled in a room with sofas to relax and filled in a form. This area is a no phone zone as they want their clients to relax before the massage experience, which I thought was pleasant. However, behind that door which I came through, all I could hear was loud talking and it went on for the whole 15 minutes whilst I was in the waiting room (a no phone zone, relax and have a cup of herbal tea as I was advised to arrive 15 mins earlier). What made the whole experience worst was there was vacuuming happening down the corridor. All I could say is it wasn't relaxing at all. The massage rooms were very nice and tranquil. I enjoyed my 1 hr of massage. After the massage, back out at reception, I was once again faced with the same unfriendly store director. There wasn't much exchange of words (it was rather awkward), and when she saw me standing there, all she said was "Thank you" and that was it, there wasn't any questions like how was your massage, hope you enjoyed it etc. etc., Well I went there with a gift card, I hope to think that they don't treat Gift Card holders that way. I did enjoyed the massage that's what I was there for, but considering I had it at endota Spa, I probably had expected a more warm and friendly environment. I chose The Glen because it's near me. I have heard good reviews on other locations, maybe it's just a poor choice of location on my part.
