Right, so now we've got that out of the way, Wallace Cotton was started by a lovely husband & wife team Bill & Paula. Their aim was to provide affordable but high quality cotton products (mainly bedlinen) and I reckon they are nailing it. Easily my favourite product in their range is their mattress topper. It's totally indulgent but it's seriously like sleeping on a cloud. Basically, it's a thick layer of pure softness (white duck feathers and down) that you put between your mattress and your sheet for extra cushioning. I'm getting schleepy just writing about it! The only downside is that, depending on your mattress, you may have to by extra deep fitted to sheet to accommodate the extra padding. If i'm being honest, some of the fabrics and colour schemes are my cup of tea... a bit too pretty & floral but their waffle duvet is hard to beat. Wallace Cotton also stock towels, aprons, teatowls as well as other goodies like The Aromotherapy Co candles and The Casual Foodie relishes. They also have a good range of products for kids too - duvet sets, pjs, toys etc. Well worth a looksie if you;re after some high-quality organic cotton that won't break the bank!

There is a really lovely saleslady at this Palmers who is super friendly, very funny and has a…read moresidekick, her personable Jack Russell dog. Together they take care of the client's queries, mine included, and tend to the garden centre. I really love them and wish I too could bring my pooch to work. This is a well-stocked Palmers garden centre with a huge nursery with seedlings, trees and pot plants for your home garden. Their vegetable seedling trays are in great condition, not spindly and over the mark as you will find in some establishments. I particularly like their gifts in the show room and have picked up a thing or two for friends and family here. Yes, they do gift wrapping.
