It resembled a $2.00 store with no style, or quality products visible. Boy do I stand corrected. The first row of bedding not only had exactly what I have been seeking, it also had alternative down, wool comforters as well as other man made materials. All for prices that will blow your mind! There are high thread count sheets for every budget and pillow so fluffy they'd make for an epic pillow fight. Aside from bedding there is nearly everything one needs to set up a bathroom, laundry area and kitchen. Seems to me the only items missing from this place are washer/dryers and bathtubs. It basically has all of the essentials needed to furnish and equip your home for comfort, at prices that will make you smile.

Anyhow last year, when winter struck I needed another blanket for my bed. Off to this Briscoes I went, and I found a Queen sized, coffee coloured, feather down blanket for $80. I think originally it was definitely priced over $100 (maybe even up around $140). This has seen me through winter and looks great on my bed. I'm really pleased with my purchase. If you are in the area and need some new things for your home, I'd recommend you stop and look at this Briscoes.

I love coming here when I need to buy presents for friends and family, plus staff are always super friendly and helpful and they offer colourful gift wrapping too!

On the ground level is the Citta Design shop and then if you go upstairs you'll find the Collected. What a find it is! I wanted so much in the shop. And the really good part is there was some really nice stuff for around $20 or less such as dinner plates, various knick knacks, candles and other stuff made of awesome. There was so much I wanted to purchase. So once I have a bit more cash in the bank, I will definitely be back (come on pay day)!

The name of this business is quite apt - it's really cool to see really cheap and strange items alongside really expensive European lamps, handpainted crockery and the odd bit of furniture. If you're heading to the new premises, don't be afraid to walk around the back and head up the stairs. It can sometimes look like an area customers aren't supposed to go, but if you go up top, there are two more rooms full of larger items like tables and chairs... and a big bowl of free matchbooks!

It's an excellent place to come for a gift especially for someone who is into homewares e.g. your Mum or Grandma. They stock brands such as Le Creuset, Scanpan, Donna Hay and Bodum. If you are into fine chocolates, Trumps is a stockist of Bennetts of Mangawhai (they make amazing chocolates right here in NZ). You can register your weddings gifts too so that your guests find it easy to choose something and they will have the comfort of knowing it is something that you want. Given that I ordered premium organic children's clothing, this was quite concerning and contrary to what many parents expect - minimal processing and no added scents. They also sell diffusers and candles, which may explain the scent contamination. I emailed the same day I received the package to request a return and refund. It then took a full week to receive a response, which simply instructed me to return the items to a warehouse address, with no clear process. I replied the same day asking reasonable questions -such as the warehouse opening hours, whether I could drop the items off in person. It has now been another week with no response. This was also confusing because their company policy states that online orders can be returned to any of their retail stores. This would have been far more convenient, as they have multiple locations with set opening hours and staff available, so you know you can actually speak to someone and have the return handled properly. Overall, the lack of communication, slow response times, and inconsistency with their stated return policy have been very frustrating. For a brand positioning itself as premium, I expected much better customer service and handling of returns. I would also caution other parents who prefer unscented, minimally treated baby clothing to keep this in mind when ordering.

Not surprisingly, Father Rabbit has become my go-to for gifts. It isn't outrageously expensive and they've got a wide range of products, something for everyone.
