An absolute disgrace of a service, nothing but pure cheek from Derek the manager apparently, totally lying and ripping me off. My car was damaged after someone ran into the side of me. My insurer made me use these absolute cowboys, they had my car for A FULL MONTH, couldn't tell me when I was getting a Courtsey car, I had to phone constantly, got one after a week. Got my car returned making sounds so loud people in the street were staring at it, still had glass in the vents, My tracking all off, my steering pulling to the right. Oh no apology from Derek, he said my car was making that noise when it went in PURE LIES, then said they never checked my tracking as it did not warrant it!!! Instead he told me i had probably hit a pothole on the night it was returned to me.....I was on the phone to them the day after it got returned. Actually too much to write here, honestly stay well clear from this disgrace of a company. read more

Sub-standard workmanship and terrible customer service. Less than 2 months old and the lacquer is already peeling. They will mess you around afterwards and allegedly the boss's son will try to wriggle out of repairing their bad paint job (not to your face though, he gets the staff to take the flak) with weak excuses such as saying it's a stone chip which has caused the lacquer to peel (laughable) and their own engineers having already agreed it was a bad paint job and already booked you back in. Incompetent, untrustworthy and a complete waste of time. Avoid them and find a local body shop who know how to paint a car properly and take pride in their work. read more

Reluctant to give 1 Star To cut an extremely long story sort, my insurance company referred my car into here instead of my chosen garage because 'vision' the company used to deal with recoveries ignored the special instructions and towd the car to the wrong place, but that wasn't there fault. Finally got things sorted at the insurance and now to get the car back to there it should be getting fixed. As per standard procedure recovery companies to release cars without payment, fair enough, but I was calling to try speak with someone to help. The reason was as I had been asked to by my insurance to ask them to call vision back and it should be a case of the fee get transferred and the car released. Great. Not quite, I got put through to the person dealing with my car and head explain all the above, but when it got round to my turn t speak and try and explain the insurance company asked me to call he words were "it's no my problem" after the week I have had with the i fiancé company and this guys downright attitude that screamed I'm getting my money so I don't care less to a headed conversation after but in which I was just to blame as a full week of stress and anger was unleaded by the guys unwillingness to listen, as if he had it would have been a quick can you call vision as there waiting on your call as they can't get a hold of you and that's why I'm phoning. I apologise for any words said after things got heated but it would be nice considering my car is in your garage for you to at least listen. Thanks read more

I was referred to Mitchell Inglis through my insurance company for repairs to my car after a non-fault accident. My 2 side doors and front panel had to be replaced and re-sprayed. I was given a Peugeot 2008 as a courtesy car (which is apparently their best car). The courtesy car was awful to drive, there was something clearly wrong with the automatic gearbox however any time I called to complain and ask for another they did not have any even though I felt that it was a danger to drive. This was only the start of the problems with Mitchell Inglis, I didn't get my car back until at least 2 weeks after the promised date of completion, I understand that these things happen but the company did not bother to call me to inform me, I had to call every day to be told 'it will be tomorrow' this went on and on. The reception staff were rude and lacked basic customer service skills. The first time i went up to check over my 'repaired' car (a Friday) I could not believe the state they tried to give it back to me in. There were at least 20 imperfections in the paint work, one being a massive dried in drip of paint clearly running down the car door, there were also bubbles and chips in the paint work and the bar under the window that was replaced was sticking out! One of the employees came out and marked all of the faults down, was really nice and apologised for how terrible the work was. I was promised the work would be re-done and i would have my car back on the Tuesday, this ended up being 2 weeks late with again no phone calls to inform me, I had to call every day that I was promised by car back to be told it would be tomorrow! I finally got my car back (a few minor imperfections in the paint work) but i will pay for another company to fix these myself as I did not want my car with Mitchell inglis for another minute! I have put in a complaint with my insurance company and won't be back! read more
