DONT TRUST THEM DONT BUY FROM THEM AVOID THEM BIG TIME! The worst car scam I ever have fallen victim to! Avoid Machargs in Glasgow at all costs! Bought car from them too which came with only one key, explained that premises were currently undergoing refurbishment and all spare keys were in a secure cabinet and staff member with key wasn't around. One week later contacted me to come to collect spare, arrived only to learn that same staff member was nowhere to be found (!) Hung about for FOUR hours waiting for staff member be located. Gave up and went home. Called again to say need bring key in to be copied, arrived, same problem as no one knew of anything. Went home again. Another week went by, called again to say that they would send up a staff member to collect car for key be made, job done. Won a three year free service as result of filling in their questionnaire draw. First service done free BUT phoned me to say front tyres needed replacing at a cost of nearly £600! Called to check them out, tyres were 4.4mm & 4,5mm respectivelty, well below the legal limit of 1.6mm. Explained that they were of the opinion that tyres at that tread depth should be replaced. Contacted general manager to complain about the history of awful service I was getting from them after spending £26k on car, no reply back, no apologies either. Attitude there is get customers' cash then to hell with them. The worst dealership I have ever had the misfortune coming across and I've had nearly 40 cars during my lifetime. AVOID them! read more
