It's pretty hard to find a good chiropractor, but when you do, its fantastic. I usually dislike doctors in general. I always feel like a cog in the insuro-medical racket..I've already become a revenue source for BC/BS and the pharmaceutical companies, ill be hooked for life with more drugs on the way! But I digress... Although Dr Steve is running a business, I never feel like a revenue stream. He is very personal and really values my health before anything. This is the real way, I think, to make longer lasting clients. I never feel rushed, he never appears rushed; his flexible scheduling prevents patient stacking and creates an environment in which a patient can truly relax and release the tension that is causing one to get bent. I initially visited Dr Steve after my outpatient PT ended (ie: according to ins, I was "well enough" which translates to "we are done paying for you, good luck, don't call us, but keep those premiums coming"). Anyway, I had poly-septic arthritis, which has become your average run of the mill arthritis. The pills prescribed to me didn't seem to do much except mask the pain (which I guess wasn't to bad a thing). I sought chiropractic as a more natural way to get the joints more fluid and active. It has worked marvelously; Dr. Steve has worked marvelously. He really is a nice guy who takes the time to care and listen. If your chiropractic experience is just "meh," if you find yourself waiting in an office for the patient before you to get done, if you have a crazy schedule, if you ever feel like your being talked "to" instead of talked "with", go see Dr. Steve. If I could physically drag my complaining friends in to see him I would (win-win-win, I'd say). I've brought my creaky dad to see him. And if I catch you reading this, I'll drag you there too...trust me, you will only be angry with me until the new patient paperwork is done. read more

I am an amateur ice hockey player in an adult league. Dr. Mitchell often gives me a hard time about the punishment I put myself through just for the love of the game, but he keeps me in it. He has seen me through a number of tough injuries and chronic pains. He has relieved back and neck pain, a chronic bad shoulder, and my stubborn right knee on many an occasion.
