I have hired Simon roughly 4-5 times now for various plumbing issues over the past few years. I…read morewould never think of calling anyone else to help me out. Most recently I called Simon and it took him one day to come out and replace an existing commode. He showed up promptly at 8:30am, measured for the specifications and drove 30 minutes, back and forth, to pick up the new commode because he knew I couldn't get it to fit in my small car. When he came back he installed the new commode in a very timely manner and cleaned up everything before leaving. One of the first times I called him was when I had a water bill that was very out of ordinary. The water company told me I must have a leak somewhere. I couldn't see any kind of pooling or visible leaks. When Simon came out, during a rainstorm, he looked around the yard and found exactly where the section of pipe was leaking. I don't know how he did it but he did. After digging up and repairing it, while it was still raining out, that crisis was over and my water bill returned to normal. Other jobs that Simon has completed for me included replacing a kitchen sink fixture, bathroom vanity fixture, a shower head and an additional commode separate from the one I mentioned in the beginning of this review. As soon as I had the pleasure of meeting simon he became my "go to guy" for anything that had to do with any plumbing issues. I have used other plumbers in the past but none have ever been so reliable and personable as simon. He takes time to answer any stupid questions I have and explains things in great detail. I always knew exactly what he was going to do and how much it was going to cost to have it done. I would not hesitate to recommend Simon's work to my family and friends and will definitely be calling him if need be in the future.

Mr. Christopher seems to work by himself and did a good job for me. I needed a water heater…read morereplaced in the attic of an old house. He called me back when he said he would to setup my job, was on time when he came to view the job and to do the work. I ended up being his helper to remove the old water heater from the attic (by cutting it up in the attic first!). He was very efficient in installing the new plumbing to the water heater and did a good job. Very reasonable pricing. Maybe it was because I helped with the physical work some, but I feel like I got a very good deal on the work he did. Overall, he was there 4+ hours, provided the plumbing materials (I bought and wired the water heater myself) and charged me $212. I will be using him in the future when I need plumbing done.

I told his secretary that I wanted a toilet/bidet combo., installed and I indicated that this would…read moreprobably be a timely job in my opinion. He arrived and upon seeing the toilet, he indicated not to worry. That he had installed the same brand of toilet in someone else's home. So he dove right in... without instructions. At some point I went back to my bathroom to see what all the noise was. My old toilet was on the floor and I thought he would be preparing for the new toilet... as it was, he pried the baseboard molding off the wall, cut a hole to my sheet rock about the size of a dinner plate and had proceeded to cut a hunk of the 2X4 in the wall out of the house. At this point he was about 2 hours into this and he was clearly having difficulties. He told me that this job shouldn't take this long... Indicating he had 4 other jobs that day and was very insistent on leaving to meet another client at 1pm. I looked and saw several pieces specific to this toilet (filters, toilet braces, hoses) that hadn't been used. I asked and Mr. Christopher and he said that the manufacturer always sent out extra parts that were not used. I could clearly see from the instructions that these parts were very necessary. So he started undoing things causing damage to the surface of the toilet... which he said some sandpaper could fix. It was a high gloss finish. So, seeing holes in my wall, realizing I would now half to get a carpenter to come in and fix the wall, permanent scratches on my toilet, unused parts on the floor . You know... I didn't pay $2000 for this toilet to let him tear it up or to rip holes into my walls. I payed Alton Christopher to drop what he was doing and leave my house.
