But after 10 years in LA and two previous dentists who billed 15m of flossing and polishing as a 'cleaning', I'd fly back if I moved away to keep going here. I went in today for my initial appointment. And it was such a great experience! The clinic staff, Ms. D, that did my mouth X-ray was nice and efficient. And I was impressed by the technology and machines that they have! I could tell that they only use the best for their patients. Dr. Levitt was so nice and made me feel comfortable immediately. My previous dentist have always been nice, but I seem to always feel "judge" somehow. Like I felt bad because my teeth aren't perfect. But Dr. Levitt didn't make me feel that way! Instead, he educated me about my teeth and discussed with me how we can make my teeth better. He is very knowledgeable and makes sure you understand exactly what is going on with your teeth. And the clinic staff, Madeline, that helped with my insurance made sure I was able to fully understand my insurance coverage and out of pocket expenses. Booking your first appointment and filling out the paperwork is super straightforward and done online. Amanda and Madeline are incredible and authentic and happy to work with you in all ways. They send text reminders for appointments and provide insurance and cost breakdowns which is super helpful (a great reason to smile!). Drs. Levitt and Bossel genuinely care about their patients as people and listen each time you sit in the *dreaded* appointment seat. They take care to explain what they see in your mouth and recommended action steps/procedures (wonderful reasons to smile!). During the procedures (I'm getting a few crowns), Dr. Bossel and Sally make sure you're comfortable and know what's going on. This is the best dental experience I have ever had. 1. The front desk: The ladies up front are genuine and kind; their attention to detail and rigorous accommodation is special. Their vibrant personalities and professional efficiency are special. They make you excited to come in and (oddly) excited to come back! 2. The dental exam was amazing! There is a lot of innovative technology and each componenet is explained (process and purpose). Dr. Levitt is personable, brilliant, and compassionate - he doesn't make you feel embarrassed about old dental work! His action plans are digestible and he is detailed in his reasoning for the plan. 3. The cleaning is relaxing.This dental cleaning was so relaxing that I fell asleep. Everyone at this office is super friendly and caring -- from the time you call for an appointment to the moment you leave. The first time I came in was for a terrible tooth ache and they fit me in immediately. I ended up having to get an emergency root canal the very same day with their partner endodontist who also fit me in the very same day! Then I came back for all my other teeth needs. I sought out Dr. Levitt as my dentist because I found him on my Delta Dental PPO insurance website as an in-network provider. To my surprise, I got a bill of over $400 in the mail after already paying my portion in-office. I called insurance and apparently, he is listed "in-network" only at a DTLA address and not the Wilshire address. I definitely asked the receptionist and was told that he is in-network at the time I made the initial appointment on the phone. This unexpected expense leaves a sour taste in my mouth and unfortunately it's back to the search for a new dentist :(. read more
