I had been looking for a dentist for my children for quite some time. I saw one of my old college friends brought her children here and decided to make an appointment. They get busy fast and I booked my appointment about two months ago but today was the day. I prepped my kids (ages 4 and almost 2) but to be completely honest I was prepping myself for a meltdown or tantrum. They usually get uneasy or upset at the pediatricians office because of shots so I was thinking the same thing would happen. But I couldn't have been more wrong. As soon as we walked in, the office is bright and clean and modern looking. Lots of kid friendly posters and decorations. Even themed rooms and TV sets at each chair set up with Netflix for the kids to pick something to watch during their service. From the moment we walked in we felt very at ease and welcomed. The front staff were super friendly as were the hygienist and the dentist. The dentists assistant was kind and bubbly, she and Dr.Nik we're very sweet and explained the process before it was done and walked us through the cleaning and exam. They were gentle and patient and never lost their cool even when my little one got a little wiggly. The kiddos get a little goodie bag with their toothbrush and toothpaste and get to pick out a little prize at the end which was a huge hit. I HIGHLY recommend Dr.Nik and his office/staff to anyone in need of children's dental services. I am so happy to have found them. read more

Dr. Nik has been my daughters dentist since she was 2! She is turning 12 this year. 10 years of amazing, kind, clean service from Dr. Nik and his staff. He hands down is the best dentist I've ever known, my daughter has no fear of the dentist thanks to Dr. Nik. My daughter loves coming here. They really take the time to make sure the kids are comfortable. Each bay has a theme and has TV screens. The kids can watch whatever they want and then they get started with exam, cleaning, etc. There is a seat for a parent to sit during the whole exam too. Dr Nik is very gentle and kind. Our kid Leo B. turned two in April, and his pediatrician recommended that we take him to see a dentist. Her office referred us to Dr. Nik's Children's Dentistry. I made an appointment for mid-June and ended up canceling to go to the zoo (I admit I didn't feel much urgency around my toddler's pink gums and baby teeth), and the next available appointment was for the beginning of August. I guess Dr. Nik is a popular guy. I took Leo to see him at 11:30 on a Wednesday, and we were lucky enough to find street parking directly in front. I don't know if this is typical, but it was pleasing, and a big plus if parking is always readily available. The office was sunny and cheerful, with huge windows that allowed my boy to entertain himself watching traffic while I filled out the necessary paperwork--an easy enough process. He also liked the "squishy green chairs," which were cartoonish and candy-colored. At one point, two older boys caught his attention from the sidewalk, and the three of them played a game where they threw their arms up against the glass. The boys were also Dr. Nik patients. Unfortunately, through no fault of Dr. Nik's or of his wonderful staff, the fun kind of ended when we were called in for our appointment. Leo doesn't like being restrained, and even with CocoMelon playing directly in front of his face from a screen affixed to the dental chair, he did not enjoy being held in my lap while a man he didn't know looked in his mouth and brushed his teeth. This was, at least, the extent of this initial appointment. Dr. Nik counted his teeth--eighteen, with two more to go!--and ascertained that he didn't have any cavities, thank goodness. He also recommended that we switch from Leo's practice toothpaste to something with fluoride, and that once those last two molars grow in, we start him on dental floss. Dr. Nik was charming and professional with me, and as sweet as could be with my crying son. He and his assistant made Leo a balloon out of a surgical glove, and when the appointment was over, offered my boy his pick from a designated toy drawer. He got some kind of ball on a cord. I have to admit, I treat my own teeth horribly, and am quite bad about both flossing and visiting the dentist. That said, I'd like my child to be better than me in every way possible, so I'll be taking good care of his teeth and bringing him back to Dr. Nik in six months (though truthfully, I don't know if I have the will to wage a flossing war over temporary teeth; to be seen). I'm pretty optimistic that we'll stick with this office throughout his childhood. It's as fun and pleasant a place as a dental office can be. read more

Dr. Nikfarjam is the most caring pediatric dentist. He and his kind staff are always personally concerned with their patients. They patiently talk with the kids to calm them down when they're having a tough time with a dental cleaning/dental work. Dr. Nikfarjam is also very helpful with explaining how to care for any problem areas and gives great advice with daily tooth care. The receptionists are also very kind and helpful. The office is such a bright fun environment for kids-each room has a different fun theme and a tv (that also helps calm down nervous kids.)
