Via Lago - I will be sad to see you go! A staple in…read moreLexington Center for 37 years announces retirement/closure at the end of May 2025! Providing cafe and breakfast items followed by lunch and dinner in the restaurant along with a corporate catering business, I was a customer of all for many years. When I used to work in Lexington Center, stopping for a coffee or pastry in the morning or the occasional lunch was always a treat from Via Lago. And getting their catering services was also a frequent highlight for the office staff. Unfortunately, Covid and revised hybrid work schedules have decimated the work catering business as well as the in office workers running to lunch places and Via Lago is no exception. Thank you for all of your delicious staples, welcoming ambiance, and friendly staff throughout the years. You will be missed!

We were not pleased but luckily we didn't have to wait that long. Our waitress was fabulous, efficient and informed, answering our questions about the menu. I had a glass of Shiraz and my friend had chardonnay which was served in a warm glass (fresh from the dishwasher maybe?) so she sent it back. Our waitress cheerily supplied a glass at the proper temperature. I ordered the squash risotto and scallops -- and my friend ordered a chicken tortellini dish. The scallops were big and cooked to perfection. I love risotto but don't make it, so I order it whenever I can, and this was delicious. My friend was well pleased with her dish, For 8pm on a Friday night the place wasn't too crowded and we had a relaxed meal where we could hear each other talk. Except for the wait at the beginning this was a perfect experience, and I will be back.

A huge downgrade from the place that preceded it…read more Overpriced and slow. You can ask to customize your order, but it's a roll of the dice whether you'll get what you asked for. This was a one-star restaurant for the first 6-9 months it was in operation, but they seem to be trying to improve things. The ordering process can be comical at times. The cashiers have the personality of Soviet bureaucrats. There's a big menu you can order from - but the cashiers generally can't answer any questions about specifics. After you order, you walk around to the pickup area, where you join the 10 other people who were in front of you and have yet to receive their order. There's usually a look of confusion and panic on the faces of those preparing the food. I once waited 30 minutes for two orders of their slider plates because I had customized one of the plates (instead of one burger, one chicken salad, and one tuna, I had asked for three chicken salad sliders). It took two line cooks to figure out what the order receipt meant. After 20 minutes or so a manager got involved and started yelling at his staff indiscriminately to get the order done. Not once did they ask me to clarify the order. On my next visit, I picked up a Sabra hummus "snack pack." I opened it in my office upstairs and thought that the hummus tasted tart. Turns out the hummus had expired weeks ago (and it showed). They offered a refund or an exchange. I opted for the latter - but all the hummus on the shelf had expired as well! The salad bar isn't atrocious. The prepackaged wraps and sandwiches aren't terrible - but they are extremely plain. Mustard would be exotic. The turkey wrap is little more than turkey, cheese, and lettuce in a wrap. Can't we have Dana's back?

I feel bad being the first reviewer and not having anything positive to say but "it is what it is"…read moreas they say. This restaurant is a far cry from the restaurant they replaced. The food is bland and very pricey. I don't think you get any value. I got a small grilled chicken wrap with a drink and it was over $10. The staff is not friendly and the business itself does not seem welcoming at all. It's pretty empty most of the times I've been there (and I have given this place several chances) which I think supports the fact that I can't give it a positive review. Such a shame, it's a convenient location but definitely not worth it.

I ordered the butter scotch-vanilla infused Woodward old fashioned. My husband ordered a regular one. I did taste something different but I hadn't actually seen her put the vanilla woodford or butterscotch in the drink. So I kindly asked, she told me yes and I kept drinking it. My husband and I moved to the smaller table by the window and about 10 minutes later I hear the main bartender complaining that I even asked about the butterscotch. He said he was so powerful and was completely annoyed. I honestly was shocked because I didn't return the drink or even push it any further. It was obvious that he doesn't like his job and maybe needs to try and different industry. He's given a male Karen and hospitality isn't it. I attached a picture for reference.

If you've ever been to a Pressed Cafe (yes, just one), you may be forgiven to assume they're all…read moremostly alike. This review is to tell you otherwise. Some are much larger (like this one). Some are drive-thru only (like the one near my house). I'm gonna talk about the former real quick. Naturally, the menu is basically the same. On this day, I was having lunch. Ergo, I opted to try the Chipotle Short Rib & Egg burrito (as a bowl because I'm a man of culture) accompanied with a cup of chowdah. I must say...I expected there to be a bit more flavor, what - with the Chipotle sauce n' all. Alas, I had to add my own salt. This is mostly a nitpick, but really...can we please season our beef? Just a lil bit even? So, the biggest difference you'll notice at this location is the parking situation. It's....annoying. Because on the one hand, you technically have ample amounts of spaces to park in. Or...you WOULD, if not for the signs en masse that read "[insert corporate company name here] parking only - all violators will be towed at owner's expense." I find this hilarious because I feel like that would be impossible to enforce for folks parking less than 10 minutes to pick up an order like I did. So, I guess my pro tip of the day would be: feel free to park wherever at your own risk if and ONLY if you're getting take-away. If you're actually dining in, I suppose you'll have to wait painstakingly for one of the few parking spots actually designated for Pressed specifically to open. By the way, if you're picking up a take-away order, the take-out shelf is smack dab next to their side entrance opposite the side where you would normally order your food. It's one of those "blink once and you'll miss it" type things the first time visiting. From my vantage point, this place stays quite busy. Not surprising, considering the Burlington area in general. Clearly, a lot of folks come here mid-work day which is also the only reason I came here to begin with. Overall, not a bad lunch stop, though the parking can be slightly obnoxious. I'm giving Pressed Cafe in Burlington 4 Chipotle Short Rib bowls dubiously seasoned out of 5.

There are the nicest people in the world, they all remember her. They hug her. They tell her they love her. They are just the sweetest people and I've seen other reviews talk about how sometimes the service is slow and to be honest it's not slow. They have usually 4 to 6 waitresses on at once they have a manager they have two bartenders. They have a full dining room room and they have a bar section where they see people so it's a pretty big place and they also give you a lot of food so they're constantly running salads back-and-forth and breads and drinks and entrées and desserts and when you go for the early bird special or the dinner special or the lunch special, you can have a super salad and entrée aside and coffee or tea and either putting or ice cream all in your meal, so imagine how busy they are and it just bothered me that people were putting these reviews saying that they were great because they are, they really are Last night we went service was great. Katie was helping us as she does a lot of times very sweet. Very nice woman goes above and beyond to make sure that you feel attended to and also make sure that she gets everything right you know if my mom wants extra olives she gets extra olives and they don't charge for it. If she needs extra lemons, they don't charge for it. There's a little things to make people feel wonderful and comfortable and just a great place. It really is and I've heard people talk about the ambience and say well. Some of the stuff is old and yeah, some of the stuff is old, but that's part of the charm of the place. It's a place it's been around forever and you feel like you're at home and if you're new to the area and you start going there, you will feel like you're at home too, and I would recommend it to anyone in. The food is always great in the portions are big and it's really really cheap.
