This store has beautiful things. They're great attenti e sales people. However, it's greatly ovepriced and the quality is questionable. After using my $600 bag for a few months it's fraying inside. The leather looks great but the finish and details are not on par with even the most commercial US brands like Coach. For example my bag came in a cheap dust cover, the lining is a cotton burlap that will easily stain. A comparably priced bag like Voach's Empire would certainly give this one a run for its money. This is a good leather product that doesn't live up to its luxury branding and pricing. I wouldn't buy again at this price point. But it has my initials! And it reminds me of beautiful Firenze. The touch, the feel, the smell of amazing quality leather. Florence is known for many things, and the leather goods is absolutely one of those items that everyone flocks to Florence for. Misuri's is amazing. They literally carry so many different leather options from a variety of women's coats, men's coats and jackets, belts, handbags, wallets... You name it they have it. On top of that, the quality is absolutely amazing. It's not just cow leather that they sell, but they also offer lamb, goat, and so many other "leather" options. All of which is soft and supple and just amazing to the touch. Buyers tip: ask for Nancy. When you do, tell her that I sent you. She's an absolute doll, and knows the entire product line incredibly well. One of the things that I absolutely adore about the store is that with many of the items that you purchase, they offer free, in-store monogramming. That's right, it's free and in-store. We purchased a men's belt that they monogrammed for us. They did a perfect job, and the belt is unbelievable! Definitely add this store to your list of places to shop at. Be prepared to spend some money, but I can pretty much tell you that you'd be hard-pressed to find the same quality in the states and at a lower price. It's worth checking out. It is a bit more expensive than some of the other retailers nearby, depending on what you're looking for. However, the craftsmanship is far superior to many of the places in the same area. Also, the store employees seemed to be a bit less pushy and more honest than some of the other places we visited. A relative was looking for a gift for her husband and came across a collection of hats. I will say that the hat selection in he store is significantly larger than what's on their website. They engraved his initials on the hat for free. We had a good experience but I only gave 4 stars because the prices weren't as competitive as I wanted. read more

We were referred here from Gate1, and received a discount, but apparently a lot of travel groups, such as cruises, come here too. The staff was open and friendly until I asked for wifi. They insisted on entering it on my phone by hand! Of course so that we don't suck up their time and wi-fi. But I have to say, although I came here with someone else who was shopping, (the staff was rather insistent on showing her things) I bought a pair of gorgeous lambskin leather gloves with cashmere lining. I hadn't bought any in years, as I use the same old pair that looks worn. It was good glove weather too. I was able to get a nice pair for a discount and pretty penny, but it was an investment. I got the embossing of my initials, which is really just an impression, as they can't add gold initials on gloves. I'd recommend if you have deep pockets or pinch your pennies. read more

Never in my wildest dreams would I think I would own such a beautiful handbag. My tour group from Collette stopped at Misuri while in Florence recently. From the outside, the store looks small. But once you are in it is extremely large and very well organized. We had a presentation on leather and lo and behold both my boyfriend and I were chosen to be models. D looked so fine in the jacket they chose for him. Just by looking at him, the associate found the perfect size. Everyone was complimenting D on the jacket that he ended up buying it and so did another gentlemen on our tour. My jacket was beautiful but I wasn't in love with it. However, three ladies from our tour group ended up buying that same jacket so I must have really been an excellent model. I zeroed in on the handbags. I have a lot of purses but I typically spend no more than $50 on them. I've never ever owned a designer handbag in my entire life, but not today. The associate showed me numerous handbags until I found the perfect one. The Bruno Parise classic handbag is so soft and the style and color will go from season to season here in Michigan. I'm still squealing with delight every time I look at it. D also purchased a wallet, which he has mentioned numerous times that it is the best wallet he has ever had, and a belt, which we still need to cut down to fit. Everything was monogramed with our initials and packed in the dust covers for our long trip home. The store is amazing. The associates are top notch. It's not cheap, although there is a sale rack, but the quality, craftsmanship, and pride of each item is worth the cost. Hubby brought me back in the afternoon after sitting out on the morning guided tour at this store where they give a short presentation on all things leather, productions of goods, etc... I'm not a purse person but can appreciate great craftsmanship when I see one. So I was excited to add a leather purse from Firenze to my very small collection of pricy handbags... two to be exact. The lady that helped us was from Norway and spoke perfect English so she was able to hone in on exactly what I was looking for. After telling her the size and color, I tried a few bags that were all equally gorgeous but fell in love with the last one. If you pay cash they don't charge the tax but if you use a card they tell you to get it stamped at customs and the tax will be refunded to your card in a few weeks, Even gave me the proper paperwork to do it. Came here with a gate1 tour. Veerrrryyyyyy expensive, because of the high quality items. Things were very nice. We had a little fashion show to teach us the difference between goat, lamb, and cow leather. Then after, we were given some time to look. I looked at a leather jacket.... only 950 euros.... YIKES! But it was on sale for 418 euros! So my girlfriend and I bought a key chain... 15 euros (we collect little things from places we go to use as Christmas tree ornaments). Although the free engraving on all purchases was very nice too. Staff was passionate about what they sold, and very knowledgeable, and quick to look to help you. Horrible customer service. My mother bought a leather belt for me in May 2014 and gifted it to me shortly afterward. After a year of use the belt began to display cracks and creases from heavy use. Misuri did acknowledge the inferior quality they used to make that belt as Misuri claimed to have contracted with a company who produces finer leather. Let me say first that there are less pricey leather shops in Florence. In fact, there are several. The city is a mecca for high (and lesser) quality leather and it seems like there's a shop on every corner. Some are classy, high-end, and others have kind of a back alley feel. Add the street vendors into the mix and it all becomes a little overwhelming, even for a leather junkie like me. I checked out a number of different shops during my trip but nothing was special enough to catch my eye. I wandered into Misuri after a visit to the breathtaking Basilica of Santa Croce and knew immediately that I'd found my spot. The shop offers a wide array of high quality leather products, from belts to jackets to bags and everything in between. The store is comfortable, well lit and prices are clearly marked. It's spendy overall, like an upscale boutique, but there are still bargains to be found. I nabbed a large satchel from the sale rack (400 euro marked down to just under 200), a matching wallet (72 euro), a belt for my husband (30 euro) and some other small trinkets. My bill came to just under 350 euro and I felt like I got a hell of a deal. It's been two years since my trip and all my treasures have been well loved in that time. They're in perfect condition with a lovely patina. I get frequent compliments and have recommended Misuri to friends and family on their way to beautiful Florence. read more

I also came here with a Gate 1 tour. They showed us how they make the leather goods. They also sell gold and gave a presentation on that as well. We also participated in a fashion show. I wanted a leather jacket and saw one that fit the bill for me. It was a wine color, made of the softest supple lambskin, with a detachable hood and a leopard print lining. I loved it! I confess that I didn't shop any other store, so I don't know if I got a good price for it. It started out as over $1,000, but with the various discounts (Gate 1, cash) and VAT refund (that they handle for you), it was $850. Sounds a little high, but the quality is exquisite. By way of comparison, I bought a suede jacket at another store in Florence for $400 about 3 years ago. This store adds a nice touch in that they engrave your item with your initials on the spot in gold, silver or emboss it with no metallic foil. The sleeves were too long on my jacket, so the tailor altered them on site. I also bought their version of the "Kelly" bag. This is a gorgeous sophisticated black bag. The customer service is superb. My purchases were delivered to my hotel within 2 hours. I can't comment on the restroom that others have raved about, but they do have an ATM in the store that was helpful for me to get the cash discount. Amazing leather store. WE were brought here by our tour coordinator while in Florence. Best leather shop I have ever been in. I learned a lot about real italian leather, including how to tell if something really is leather or not. They have a great selection of purses, belts, scarfs, and of course amazing jackets. A jacket wasn't in my plans to buy this trip but I did want a nice purse. I found an amazing bag that is a purse but that I can use to carry my laptop in as well. My mother got a beautiful Grace Kelly bag. All were hand engraved on site, with gold tooling, while we waited.
