It wasn't horrible, but it definitely was not enjoyable. M and I walked in just before 9 on a Sunday night, and were the only customers. After perusing the menu (and noting the decent lunch deals), we decided on the Tokyo roll, the Kimono roll, and the sashimi mix.
Tokyo roll (3/5): Similar to a baked salmon roll, but the salmon was more likely torched than baked. The sauce was light and complemented the roll nicely.
Kimono roll (2/5): Similar to a rainbow roll, sans avocado. It consisted of salmon and tuna, neither of which was fresh, with sesame seeds sprinkled on top.
Sashimi mix (2.5/5): The salmon was fatty, which gave it the illusion of freshness. The tuna was darker red than I've ever seen, and tasted like nothing. The sweet shrimp was okay. The eel was cold, which I found unusual, but it was also okay.
After eating here, I felt I had to go eat something else to wash this all down. Like I said, the sushi wasn't horrible, but it wasn't enjoyable, either. If you've had quality sushi before, this place is unlikely to meet expectations. read more
