Can I give this place 0 stars? I'm even hesitant to give them 1. If you can help it, GO ANYWHERE…read moreELSE. If you HAD to use their towing service, you are SOL. When I was in a MVA recently, the police officer waited for this towing company to respond. In the time it took them to get to the scene (and mind you, they're a 5 min drive down the street), two other towing companies attempted to (with no avail) tow my car. Verdict? TURTLE SPEED SERVICE. When I tried to find my car plates (WITH THIS SHOP) to clear things up with the MOT and insurance company, what did they tell me? #1. First off, they didn't even know WHERE my car was. They gave me a phone number of someone who assessed the car BUT DIDN'T PICK IT UP. So they threw me through a loop, leaving voice mails, calling back random numbers for absolutely no reason. #2. Secondly, when I CALLED THEM BACK, they finally gave me the RIGHT name of the company that picked up my car. No phone number, no address. Way to give me NOTHING to work with. #3. When I called back AGAIN (all within 24 hours and in absolute frustration), they told me that they DID NOT take my car plates. But they gave some random person access to my car to pick up my stuff. It completely baffled me how Michael, the owner of the shop, got defensive and insisted that it was my boyfriend/the guy who was also in the accident who accessed my car. Excuse me? How could my boyfriend (who was in the accident with me at the time) pick up my stuff? We only have ONE CAR now (to which I drive to work) because we got into a MVA. You're telling me that my boyfriend walked how many blocks to your car shop to pick up a few things? You're not working with 5 year old children, if you're going to feed me some bull, at least be honest and tell me you're not sure. Now, I am completely distraught. I have to file a police report for LOST/STOLEN car plates because this car shop doesn't know how to do their job. So now I'm under the impression that they gave some random stranger access to my car and my belongings. Beautiful. Just beautiful. Please work on your people skills if you hope to stay in the SERVICE oriented industry.

I honestly loved this place for years. On feb 18th I got my winter tires put on and upon completing…read morethe service I was informed "the next time I come that I should plan on needing breaks"... they gave me a quote and in no way made it sound urgent. 4 days later including the weekend where I didn't drive my care) I drove to My job in Buffalo. All of sudden my car sounded like an airplane when I pressed the breaks. I pulled over scared for my safety and called the shop to ask what they thought it was. I was told to keep driving home so they could look at it "but don't go fast". I expressed concern over this solution stating I thought it was my breaks and that I know if you let your breaks go too far it can cost double the price.... you know replacing the rotors..... he told me "no it doesn't cost more"... let me repeat that.... a mechanic told me there's no way for a break replacement to cost more. Thankfully, I know a mechanic in buffalo who met me at his shop.... and can you guess what happened? My breaks were COMPLETELY metal and I had to replace the rotors, costing double the price of a only new breaks. This didn't happen in 4 days, this shop handed the car back to me, and sent me and my daughter our way in a unsafe vehicle. It would've been obvious at the time they changed my tires that the breaks were an urgent matter. I called the shop back during my time at a Buffalo Mechanic and all of a sudden "they had no record of me being there" I have the receipt, and it's sitting on my kitchen table now as I write this. I understand you can't control your mechanics and sometimes bad ones get hired, but I have not been offered any solution to make this right. STAY AWAY for your own safety.

Fast forward 6 months, my rear brakes are causing a pulsation, I knew the pads and rotors were due to be replaced so I bought new rotors and pads for the rear brakes and hired a local mobile mechanic to install the parts.....Well, he gets the old brakes off and tells me that one of the calipers is bad, there was a seal leaking, he showed me the leaky seal and it was evident that it had been leaking for quite some time as you could see the uneven wear on the rotors from poor pad contact. He asked me how long ago the calipers were replaced. I told him six months and he started to laugh a bit and replied "there's no way these calipers are six months old. .." Mind you, he has nothing to gain here, he's not making any more money, I was buying the parts and he wasn't going to charge me extra for installing a new caliper to replace the leaky one. He also told me that just because the bleeder screw was frozen on the calipers doesn't mean that Huberts couldn't have bled the rear brakes a different way and he showed me how they could have done it. Basically huberts took me for a ride...and it appears they never even replaced the calipers that I supposedly needed at the time they were working on my vehicle. Will never go back there and it's disappointing, I expected better from a local family owned shop.
