I brought in a laptop for a straightforward repair and was told it would be checked the same day. After waiting the entire day with no update, I was finally told it needed to be sent to another branch and wouldn't be ready until late next week. When I asked for the device back so I could take it elsewhere, the staff member handed me the phone with the manager on the other end. The manager immediately started raising his voice at me, calling me impatient and acting as though I was being unreasonable for wanting a clear timeframe. I also had to push them just to reassemble the laptop so I could take it away. Technician purposefully destroyed my laptop by putting incorrect screws on the front of the laptop, unbelievable! How can an ''experienced" technician not know hes reached the end of the standof for the screw, this is unbelievable. As per photos. This was 100% intentional because i wouldn't wait a week for them to do a repair that a shop 1km away did in 1 hour, this is a 150 dollar replacement part and almost 100 worth of labor if im lucky, terrible. I took the device to Advanced Computers in Albany, who diagnosed the issue properly and fixed it without any drama. The difference in professionalism was huge. When my wife initially called, Ben did not make any offer that included his pricing. He simply indicated he would come to our home, look at the fridge, and provide a quote for repair so we could then consider the costs and potentially book the repair. Instead, after briefly looking at the fridge, he abruptly informed us that it would be $180. This charge was a complete surprise, as he had never mentioned any fees for the visit. Had he been upfront about his pricing, we would not have accepted this arrangement. When we told him we had not agreed to this fee, he became visibly upset and rude, putting us in an uncomfortable position. Under duress from him, my wife ended up making the payment just to get him to leave. Ben's lack of transparency and his aggressive behaviour left us feeling misled and taken advantage of. When we later complained and asked him to review the charge, he replied saying that he was considering it but ultimately decided not to proceed because my wife had left a negative review on his page.

I approached Factory Frames to do matting only for 20 unsigned prints. They cut the mats for me but…read morerefused to fix the prints to the matting, claiming they would not take responsibility for trimming the artwork to match the mat size. This policy was never explained to me in advance and no clear reason was given at the time. They charged me one thousand dollars for this basic job, which took them around half an hour to complete. That rate felt unjustifiable, especially considering it involved no mounting, no framing and no signing, just cutting. After signing the prints at home over the weekend, I returned to have them mounted to the mats, expecting the job to be completed as originally intended. Instead, I was told there would be an additional charge, more or less one hundred and forty dollars, to finish what they had started. After a short discussion, Sharon, the employee I dealt with, consulted the owner, but they still refused to complete the work without further payment. I left feeling upset and disappointed. I found the service to be unreasonable and unaccommodating. If there was a policy around not mounting untrimmed prints, it should have been made clear at the outset.
