Our experience with Apple Appliances Ltd., managed by Ben Hayward, was misleading and extremely disappointing. When my wife initially called, Ben did not make any offer that included his pricing. He simply indicated he would come to our home, look at the fridge, and provide a quote for repair so we could then consider the costs and potentially book the repair.
Instead, after briefly looking at the fridge, he abruptly informed us that it would be $180. This charge was a complete surprise, as he had never mentioned any fees for the visit. Had he been upfront about his pricing, we would not have accepted this arrangement. When we told him we had not agreed to this fee, he became visibly upset and rude, putting us in an uncomfortable position. Under duress from him, my wife ended up making the payment just to get him to leave.
Ben's lack of transparency and his aggressive behaviour left us feeling misled and taken advantage of. When we later complained and asked him to review the charge, he replied saying that he was considering it but ultimately decided not to proceed because my wife had left a negative review on his page. read more
