Mister G's Salsa is SO good! I frequent Jaunt Coffee next door and noticed that there was a Salsa spot next door but they seemed to only be open Thursday through Sunday. I checked it out one day and noticed they were selling a specific salsa of the week for a $1! I had to get some and a bag of tortilla chips and everything tasted very fresh. I've now tried a few of their salsas and you can't go wrong with any of them. Follow their Instagram - @mrgssalsa to stay up to date of what salsa they are selling! There is a small parking lot available.

Holy cow! This salsa is great! They have a different salsa available for $1 each time and this time it was the green sauce and I loved it! SOOOO fresh and delicious. The chips they sell with it are perfect too! I must say that I can't wait to go back and try more. My friend, Joy R. got the ghost pepper salsa and said it was amazing!

I initially went over in this area for Preston's (which by the way, GOAT for ginger beer) and stopped over at Mister G's for a flight of salsa. I am annoyingly allergic to allium, which is the worst with onions, but sometimes, I take the risk of reaction because, I mean c'mon... who could deny chips and salsa?! Anyway, their salsas are all outstanding. I LOVED their black pepper garlic salsa the most, it's worth the allergic reaction, every time. Flash forward 6 mos later... I talk about it enough that my friend went out of her way to go over and get some for my birthday yesterday. Either way, killer salsa and not in the deathly allergy kind of way. So if ever in doubt when it comes to Mister G's, I'm telling you, just do it. I would be having it all day, every day if I didn't I have allergies because... Mister G's has it on lock!

Flight of salsas n shrimp ceviche. Both came w it's own bag of chips. The green ones are my favorites.

We met the owners while sipping refreshing cocktails at Swinford, just a couple of doors down. They shared some chips and verde salsa and it was da bomb so we decided to swing by after our drinks. We ordered the flight of salsas and a shrimp ceviche. Both came with a big bag of chips. My favorites were the green salsas but they were all good. I want to come back to try the other menu items. So happy it's close to home. Support your local small businesses guys..come check them out. Grab some food and head over to Swinford for some cocktails.

Today's menu! Black pepper garlic, smoked jalapeño, mean green, corn...highly recommended!

If it's your first time, definitely start out with a flight of salsa. They have a nice array of different flavors, from sweet and spicy, spicy and savory! There are 6 in a flight and you can choose. My faves are the peach, corn, the Mean Green and the black pepper garlic! I'm usually not a sweet salsa kind of person, but the contrast between the peach/corn and the others is quite nice. The flight also comes with some chips to dip. Even though the sample sizes are smaller, with 6 samples, that's still 12 oz. of salsa altogether. I wasn't able to finish mine but they do have lids for flight cups so you can take them home. Tip - bring someone with you and get different flavors so you'll be able to try all of them!

I just happened to stop by Mister G's Salsa after getting cookies. We had already eaten dinner so we weren't hungry. I actually wondered how could a place just sell salsa? I love elotes so I thought I'd give it a try. It's more of a dip and not the type that's an actual meal or side dish. It was ok. I ordered the original salsa just to give it a try. One look at the salsa and the balance of ingredients and texture, I knew it would taste as good as it looked. It's awesome that they served the elotes and salsa with a huge bag of restaurant style tortilla chips. The prices were reasonable and the other menu items sound good too. I will definitely return for some salsa and can't wait to try the other menu items.

Went to Mr G's with some friends last night, wasn't sure how I get about salsa flights but I'm a fan now! Tracy and John are amazing hosts and very skilled at what they do. The salsa is delicious and the frozen margaritas are dangerous! Make sure you pick up a tub of their pineapple salsa, it was my absolute favorite!!

The salsa flight was delicious. We would definitely go back. Our top two was original and black pepper lime.

From cheeses, meats, breads, a pretty extensive frozen section, there are so many treasures you can find here. I came here with my cousin who was looking for some specific food items, side, and purchase anything myself on this trip. Partly because I was gonna be out all day and didn't want the food sitting in my car. But definitely if I plan better next time I'm in San Diego I wanna buy stuff to bring back home. Just a gem of a find. There also seems to be plenty of parking in the area as we parked pretty much right out front.

I should have purchased the Beurre d'Isigny butter here rather than going to Paris, buying Bordier butter vacuum sealed butter, having the hotel freeze it, then paying extra for check in luggage since it's a colder storage area. Cuisenery didn't have Bordier butter but when I was doing my online research, I found that both of the brands I mentioned are pretty good. I actually liked my Beurre d'Isigny butter better, but that's more likely due to it being unsalted versus the salted version I bought in Paris (apparently, you MUST use salted on your bread per the Parisians). They also had a bunch of other frozen foods and condiments, including frozen escargot in puff pastry, frozen baguettes, mustards, and jams.
