First, let me start with the positive: the service was stellar. The girls working are sweet and they get the orders out fast. Maybe we all ordered the wrong things, but we didn't love the ice cream. It was all basically flavorless (except the dreamsicle swirl has a LOT of orange flavor!). I got the soft serve with banana and had them dip it in chocolate. It was a massive portion, but there was zero flavor. No banana at all. And the chocolate shell also had zero flavor and had a weird mouth-feel. My daughter's mint chip shake tasted very artificial, and the color was very bright. My son did enjoy his Oreo shake, so that was good! It seemed like everyone else was ordering the churro ice cream, so maybe we just ordered wrong. read more

Saw this place on social media and it looked good so decided to give it a try. Servings are massive and the price is also great. The ice cream was delicious. Service is always really good. It's a bunch of teenagers working there very popular spot and will get busy on the weekends and at night. Prices are a little expensive, but they have to pay for the electricity bill of lighting up the entire block speaking of which you can't miss it it looks like a mini circus. It's so cute. If you are dairy free, do not get the dairy free options. It taste like ice cream flavoring with cornstarch just get something that naturally doesn't have dairy like the Italian ice, but do not get the dairy free substitute ice cream. read more

This is a great ice cream spot in Lynchburg that always has a multitude of options. I love coming here because I can get something different every time- though I usually stick to my favorites just because they are so good! The employees are always nice and helpful-- especially Mr. Goodie as he helps direct the line! The parking is not the best but that's simply because it's such a popular spot! I love mister goodies, their ice cream is my favorite in Lynchburg but there is this one employee that almost makes me turn around when I see her. She has brown hair, and I believe I've heard her coworkers call her Rebecca, I asked a simple question about what toppings came on a Sunday and she was blatantly condescending in her answer, I also noticed later that she was shooting nasty looks and being passive aggressive to one of her coworkers. I've noticed this has been a reoccurring theme with this girl and I hope whoever is in charge steps in at some point read more

I can't believe it has taken me so long to review one of my favorite establishments. Mister Goodies has perhaps the best soft serve ice cream I have ever had. I am frequently blown away by how good the limited edition soft serve options are with the ability to make two of the flavors into a twist (shout out to my favorite, coffee and cookie butter), but I am also a massive fan of their chocolate soft serve that is always available. Believe me when I say that the portions are very generous, and their prices are overall very affordable! Additionally, the staff is always friendly; the cashiers are usually young girls that are likely college students or even high school students. I also love to eat outside when the weather is nice and watch all the dogs (and sometimes cats) that other customers bring. Mister goodies has always been a wonderful place to meet up with friends and to bring family to when they're in town. Mister goodies is one of the places I will miss most since moving away recently. read more

The only reason this review is 4 stars is because the banana split is way to messy. My grandson had one the other day and his shirt and pants were covered with banana split hot fudge and vanilla ice cream liquid. There's a big menu and I highly advise you don't get the large ice cream, it's way too much. The food is delicious. Mr. Goodies is dog friendly so I can bring my two pugs Scout and hamp. It is wheelchair accessible. read more

Thursday night, lady at wimdow taking orders, was rude and seemed to be rushing us. She then asked if.i could take my arm.off.my partner waited as it was inappropriate for other families You see, we were a gay couple. Best ice cream in the world. But don't think we will be back. Mister Goodies had their operation down to a science! We were a bit overwhelmed with all of their ice cream options but found a few that sounded good. Mom got a turtle sundae and dad got a brownie sundae. Both sundaes were the "largest small size" we had ever seen. I opted for a 20oz blueberry cheesecake shake and it was tasty. My husband and I had the best milkshakes from Mister Goodies. He had chocolate and I had strawberry. They were so thick you almost had to eat them with a long handle spoon. Delicious! I got another milkshake at another time. It was vanilla and I added chocolate chips. I love that you can add things to your milkshake to personalize it. Yummy! As far as I can tell - this is the best soft serve ice cream option in Lynchburg. I'm particularly fond of the Banana Nutella Malted Milkshake (don't knock it until you try it). You do have to ask they be extra thorough on mixing it though. Their other options are good as well. I'm personally not a fan of their brownies, but I see others like them. read more

This place is impressive in what it sets out to do. The prices are low (although this may be just my disillusionment with other non-lynchburg prices) and the ice cream quality is good. The things that I'm most impressed with is the speed of service as well as the flavors that rotate on the daily. Most places have a flavor of the week or the month but this place? FLAVOR OF THE DAY. Absolute madlads. And they do it crazy fast too! Who woulda guessed. The only reason why its a 4 is that there's nothing that screams to me "this place is to die for." Always great ice cream and prices are good. You totally get your money's worth. A kids cone is equivalent to a Dairy Queen large. A large is huge! My husband got it once and there was no way he could finish it. The hot apple dumplings are amazing! The new cookie sandwich is amazing. Everything from a regular cone to their specialities are amazing. If you plan on going on a Wednesday or Friday - Sunday evening, expect to stand in line. This is my second time here. The ice cream is excellent! The taste and texture are of great quality. The mouthfeel is luscious! The hot chocolate fudge is YUMMY! This time I had a simple small cup with chocolate vanilla twist and hot fudge. Whereas my first visit I had a brownie sundae. I enjoyed both but the simple cup was more enjoyable! I was able to distinguish the ice cream quality and would have to rate it the best soft serve ice cream for me! It was a fundraiser night this time and it was crowded. You can't beat Mr. Goodies, it's a Lynchburg staple. This location focuses on food truck style soft serve ice cream. The Boonsboro location is more on regular ice cream but both are equally delicious. This location always has a line but they run this place like a Chick-fil-A so it's quick and efficient! I personally love the dirt and worms sundae as well as the apple dumplings! read more

This is the place to get Ice Cream in Lynchburg! They have so many flavors and all of it is a reasonable price! I recommend getting a small cone (which is not small at all...) of vanilla or orange swirl. I have never tasted a bad ice cream from them! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Doug U.

For 20 years, Doug and his wife lived in the Shenandoah Valley and frequented many of their favorite ice cream trailers and stands in the area. This inspired him to open the concept in Lynchburg, Mister Goodies being the first of its kind in the area. People quickly gravitated to Mister Goodies' fun atmosphere, reasonable prices and delicious, high quality ice cream cones, shakes, sundaes and more.
