Terrible customer service and was very rude. Clearly didn't care about having my business.

I had driven on a muddy road, so I wanted to wash the mud off of the car. I pulled into the car wash and selected the less expensive wash. The attendant was friendly. After selecting the level wash, he then asked for a tip! I tried to pay and tip (50%) with cash, only to be told this was cashless. Sorry, although I did proceed with the wash, the cashless process absorbed the tip. The wash DIDN'T wash off the mud. Next time I will go to a self-wash. read more

Received a $100 gift certificate for Christmas. What a thoughtful gift. I found that the car wash will not honor it with their month car wash deal and will only let you use it for the 1x washes. The car wash missed many spots and left my car not much better than it went in. What a waste of time and money. Now I have a $100 gift card that I cannot use and the manager is unwilling to work with me. FYI you cannot use it at the Lube Center. Every time my wife or myself brings in our Dodge Avenger to get a oil change, the techs have to start there lies. For example we take vehicle to a trusted mechanic in area-vehicle is used for volunteer services with local fire department. We know if there is anything wrong with it. -take it to mister car wash & lube, and all of a sudden there's a list. Earlier this week, took vehicle to get just a oil change. Those pricks up charged wife for an amber light that was dead for last 2 years, it was dead the service prior to this establishment. My car is still dirty front and back with water marks all over after going through the wash. The car is never truly dry - thus the water marks. Plus I suspect their automated brushes scratched the paint on my brand new SUV. Their staff had always done a good job on the inside wash - but they just announced they are no longer doing inside service in Ephrata. They tell you to drive to Reading or over by Park City Mall for inside cleaning. They expect you to drive a distance for the exhorbitant prices they charge. I spent $45 today for a full service car wash. The car wash that I received was not worth $5. All the attendants were standing around not doing their job and when they did do something, they all cleaned the same spot. When my truck was done, they asked me if there was anything that needed to be touched up. I said the whole interior and the attendant was surprised that I asked him to do that. He did not even see the areas that were missed. I definitely will not return and will not recommend Mister Car Wash to anyone! Go elsewhere. Gave them a chance when we moved into the area. Wasn't great, but not terrible, so we gave them another chance with another car recently. $32 spent and need to take it somewhere else for it to be cleaned properly. Streaks on the inside and out on glass. The inside doesn't look like it was touched. Asked about air freshener, but smelled like nothing (Not even cleaner...) Don't waste your time and money, there are places that will take your business and do the job correctly. read more

Save your money and make the extra drive to different car wash. Spent $20 and went through the wash in less than a minute (drying was less than 10 seconds at most). In order to get a refund, you have to go to the office - not worth the time and gas. read more

I just wasted $23 having my car washed at Mister Car Wash in Ephrata. Now I feel like I have to go get it washed for real. The whole front of my car looks like it hasn't been touched. There were streaks down the side of the driver's side door and the windshield and back window were smeared inside and out. Before I had a chance to look at it, I left a tip in the jar. I parked under a tree in the rain while visiting a family member. The next morning my entire car was cover in sap. I was sick, thinking it wouldn't come off. To my surprise, it came off with one wash. The attendant told me before I went through that he will send me through a couple of times if he had to, at no extra charge. The staff is great here. I would like to give it a minus!!!! Everyone that comes in they give them a different time. We came in on Saturday and they told us it would be a 2hr wait. We come in first thing on Sunday and it's a 3 hr wait. I ask if I / we can get out truck for sitting this long and they tell me NO we loose our space. This place is awful! This was such a disappointing experience. I had an appointment on Wednesday September 25th. My car got a oil change and tire rotation. After my appointment, the caps on the tire stems were loose, the air in all 4 tires were lower then the recommended pressure (33PSI), and the low pressure light came on a few days after my appointment. When we went back on September 28th, the manager told us that we had a bad pressure sensor. The manager did not offer to check the car, nor satisfy us that the car was stable. All he said was "the sensors are about $100 each". The customer service at this location is extremely weak and the manager had an extreme lack of knowledge in this field. Not very happy with the wash I got. I paid for the $36 wash (yes, I'm stupid) didn't get really anything more than you would experience paying the lower cost inside & outside job. Tires look dull, windows streaky. Oh, and the "vanilla" air freshner I think was just some kind of smelly water they sprayed. It smelled like vanilla for about 12 seconds, then just smelled like grease or something. read more

I was an unlimited wash club member. I found that the guide rails were damaging the wheel finish on my Audi Q7. They investigated and determined to not be at fault for the damage because my factory wheels are powder coated gray instead of the original silver rendering them aftermarket. They do not cover damage to aftermarket parts. I will say the manager that called was very polite but it feels like a silly reason to shirk responsibility. Beware if your vehicle has tire sidewalks shorter than 4" or you will be in the same boat. read more

I miss the Cloister (that used to be the car wash here before bought my Mister). There are too many add-ons. If you want your car cleaned inside and out (not talking the other option of detailing - just full inside and out wash), be prepared to pay $40 or more. Also, Mister got rid of the ice that was provided in the soda fountain in the waiting room. If it had to cut costs, it may as well have eliminated the whole fountain because no one wants a warm soda. Do not take your car here for Inspection, I was told They can not inspect because I have aftermarket rims on my truck but if they knew that PA Code 175.65 says tires and rims with the load rating equal to or higher than those offered by the manufacture. So instead of me just pulling up and say we cant inspect your truck due to aftermarket tires. Do your job and look at it on the lift. And quit turning business around. Or learn your job. Do not take your vehicle there for inspection or Oil change keep driving. get experienced techs. read more

Taken my car here a few times. They're very thorough, much better than the reading branch. Managers are visible, walking around, touching up vehicles. Takes much longer to get your car washed inside/out but it's worth it. It's not perfect, but it's better than others I've been too. read more

I was hesitant to get a car wash that did not end by drying off the car. So, I asked before proceeding and was told the air fans are made to take care of that issue. I was also told that if it did leave spots I could go through it again. I didn't want to correct her false logic, thinking that if it left spots the first time it will leave spots on the 2nd through the 10th time. Sure enough when completed, it left lots of water spots on my vehicle. I turned into the full service lane and patiently waited and told the attendant I was not satisfy and needed to have my vehicle towel dried. He was polite and did exactly what I wanted him to do. Was I satisfied with my experience? Yes, but only after requesting my vehicle to be towel dried instead of just being quiet and frustrated and then doing it myself when I got home. Lesson: do not go to a car wash that will not towel dry your vehicle when finished, otherwise you WILL have spots, no matter what they claim. read more

I've been using Mister Car Wash mostly for lube services since it was previously Cloister Car Wash. I recently stopped in for a radiator flush and fill. During that process the vacuum system blew my water pump and it had to be replaced. They took on the responsibility of fixing the water pump. One of my complaints is the lack of communication in the process. Their staff and manager were very apologetic. However, their communication to each other and me was not thorough during the process. These guys are good guys. They just need invested in by their corporate execs to be better trained in conflict and dissatisfied customer situations. My anger and frustration would have been thwarted if they would have kept me current in communication before me calling them. In the end, they made the situation right. My biggest complaint is not staff and first tier manager but the leadership (or lack their of) above them. I didn't sense whom I dealt with was probably supported or trained at the level they should have been. I requested the manager's boss to call me on the initial evening and to date never received a call. The staff is young which is said with no offense. My point is they lack the training and experience in these type of situations. With that said, the rank and file and first tier manager were nice and I fully sense they wanted to resolve and serve me. I just believe they could have done so much better if they were invested in and trained better by senior management. read more
