Yvonne put me at ease immediately and she gave me great advice. You know you are in safe hands when the hairdresser's own hair is stunning :) . Her salon is tucked away in the middle of the village and benefits from easy parking as well as lovely views so the whole experience was very relaxing. Yvonne's charges are very reasonable and she caters for all kinds of styles and ages. She also does home visits for customers not able to get out and about. So if you are looking for a hair stylist who gives a really good service, off the beaten track in Llanerfyl, Llangadfan, Foel or Llanfair Caereinion I recommend you call Yvonne.

Its worth noting that nearby Wilkinsons does sell toiletries alot cheaper than Superdrug does. I like the store generally. Vaughn street has suffered a few loses over the last few years in the shape of Marks, WH Smith and recently Woolworths so its worth supporting the remaining shops. The store is small and compact but does stock a good range. Staff are polite and helpfull. There is a pharmacy at the back of the store, and a private consultation room should it be needed. Prices can be a little above average but I would still recommend the store.

So the credit should go to him for picking the place. It is cute inside and the staff were very friendly. The lady who did my hair was lovely. I strongly believe in letting the stylist do their job... they know how to work with your hair and what will look good, so I just told her that I wanted a simple up-do for the black tie event. She ran a couple of ideas by me, I picked one and away she went. I was impressed with how quickly she did it as well. Normally you can spend the entire day at a salon and after travelling 3 hours, I certainly didn't want to sit there too long. I asked if she could reinforce the do because the event was outside and it was going to be a long one, plus I have very thick hair... she did and it held up so well that when I woke up the next morning it still looked pretty good! Getting your hair done at a new place with a new stylist can be a nervous experience and even a bit intimidating, but she was very friendly and really knew her stuff! And... they sell Moroccan Oil which my hair stylist in the States always used on my hair! If I have to have my hair done when I'm down next, this is definitely where I'll go.
