So the credit should go to him for picking the place. It is cute inside and the staff were very friendly. The lady who did my hair was lovely. I strongly believe in letting the stylist do their job... they know how to work with your hair and what will look good, so I just told her that I wanted a simple up-do for the black tie event. She ran a couple of ideas by me, I picked one and away she went. I was impressed with how quickly she did it as well. Normally you can spend the entire day at a salon and after travelling 3 hours, I certainly didn't want to sit there too long. I asked if she could reinforce the do because the event was outside and it was going to be a long one, plus I have very thick hair... she did and it held up so well that when I woke up the next morning it still looked pretty good! Getting your hair done at a new place with a new stylist can be a nervous experience and even a bit intimidating, but she was very friendly and really knew her stuff! And... they sell Moroccan Oil which my hair stylist in the States always used on my hair! If I have to have my hair done when I'm down next, this is definitely where I'll go.
