We're talking an enormous stretch of wall covered in colorful, detailed, larger than life graffiti pieces. You can stand there looking at one section, turn your head, and find something completely different. It's like an outdoor art gallery, except the gallery is massive and the artists are out here making magic on a floodwall. It goes for literally miles! And here's another thing you must know. Paint Louis is an actual international graffiti festival held along the riverfront. Artists travel from all over to paint here, and the event has been around in various forms since the 1990s. The wall is recognized as the world's longest graffiti wall in Guinness World Records. I swear, every time I go down there, I wonder why we don't lean into this even more. Paint everything! Give artists more walls! Let the riverfront become one giant, ever changing outdoor art installation. St. Louis, we have some pretty extraordinary things hiding in plain sight. This is one of them.

In the early years of the city a parcel of land was put aside. Services were conducted in structures that would be temporary. From 1831 to 1834 the Greek style permanent limestone building was constructed. During the revival of the waterfront in the 1930s, this structure survived. It was a church and could not be torn down. It sits in the shadow of the arch today. It became a landmark in 1971. The St Vincent De Paul a French charity organization founded in France in 1833 started its journey to aid individuals that are struggling first here in this church. The charity organization began its roots here in St Louis first in this church and it continues today in 1845. Created by artist Igor Mitoraj this piece oils from Roman and Greek mythologies which it accurately portrays. When my family and I stumbled across this piece in august 2018 i immediately said "I bet that's a geek god or goddess". This bronze figure is a popular photo op for the downtown Saint Louis area and neat several other really cool sculptures and not too far of a walk from popular and famed gateway arch of Saint Louis. Overall very awesome and fun piece. Me and the family all loved it and the fun photo op that came with it.

This is a really lovely neighbourhood in St Louis which has been seeing something of an urban resurgence and Renaissance around here, but it is still possibly the highest crime city in America and one of the highest crime cities in the world by many yardsticks, whatever a yardstick is. So this neighbourhood isn't safe by the standards of other cities, but it's not too bad by St Louis standards. And it's lovely, and I hang out here whenever I'm in town. We like the ice cream here, there's a Ted Drewe's not too far away too.

Walking up to it, I thought that it was just a clever netting-shaped artwork but that's the lattice for all the ivy and climbing plants to enjoy. So far, not much growth but come back in a few years. There are lights in the lattice and there is a brick area that will be great for an outdoor dining area. I look forward to seeing it expand. I didn't think Calzones were supposed to taste this good. The bread had perfect texture, so thick and soft in was able to hold in all the meat and cheese inside! I am really impressed being picky for food outside of Orange County. The food came out in about 25 minutes, the service staff was really nice and the place is huge and right next to the hotel and walking distance to the Arch.
