The pressure kicks in so that adds to the fun. I went with my fellow Yelp elite members so we had a large group so we played two rounds and ensured everyone got a a turn in 2 hours. The time really flies so enjoy every minute! A tip would be to come up with your best family friendly nickname so the MCs can call you to the stage! The two MCs were so welcoming and supportive of all of our members. They even made a few modifications for us who needed to be seated versus standing. That is a huge plus for mobility accessibility. The game room is not too noisy and all the words or numbers were large on the screen too for those with auditory concerns. The venue was very accessible and the restroom was gender neutral but I did not see a changing table to maybe leave the little littles at home. There is a room to set up banquet tables if you host a party to eat. They also sell juice, tea, lemonade, beer, seltzer, soda, and wines!

These were two of the easier - if not the easiest - rooms. No complicated locks, etc. However, nobody in our group knew much about cards, gambling, Vegas etc. so we felt a little out of our league and definitely made some puzzles harder than they needed to be! Pretty simple puzzles and solutions, but with a group of 6 new-to-escape rooms players and mix of ages, there was some user-error. I'd say this room could have easily been done with 3-4 player and probably 2 would have been okay. Staff was friendly, no issues throughout our visit! They also took our group photo after we broke out and sent it to each group member (using our contact info we provided at registration) as we were leaving. Only tip is to arrive early if you want to use metered street parking since that is limited.

I was…read moreone of the hosts for my family reunion this year and thought this would be a fun and interactive way for us to work together and enjoy an evening out. Ryan made it easy for us to book a group and was very understanding and flexible when some changes were needed. There was a total of 11 of us and we chose to do one of the harder rooms, Saloon Heist. We were a little lost at first, got stuck on some clues but overall we worked together and found the gold with 44 seconds remaining! That was a close one. Lol! Everyone stated how much fun they had after being a little skeptical and would definitely do it again. I can't wait to try another heist. Thank you Ryan and staff. You guys were amazing!

I was only with one other person and the two of us were able to solve the mystery with just three minutes to spare. We did ask a couple clarifying questions and the worker was extremely helpful. It was a great experience. The set was adorable. You could see some wear and tear on the space/objects but nothing that impacted the game or experience. Clues, big and small, helped us open padlocks to find puzzle pieces, keys to unlock our trackers and unlock a second room, then more puzzles leading us to the final clues to open a hidden door so we could crawl out and escape with 4 minutes to spare. Your adreneline will be racing and you may not even be able to focus! This was a great night for a bachelorette party. Everyone loved it!

We think the optimal group is 6 with 3 starting in the first two rooms. This room was more challenging than the Diamond Heist but both were great fun ! We highly recommend parking in the parking garage just south of the building. Do not confuse the parking with the parking lot for the apartment complex a block south of the building. This was probably our 15th escape room and one of the best in the St Louis area. Mastermind is cleaner and a better designed venue than most.

We headed to Escapology and booked TH3 COD3 room. There are five unique rooms, with varying degrees of difficulty. Average price is $30/person; min. 2 people and max. 6. Minimum age is 10. This was the first time any of us had been to an escape room. We fully expected to finish very early, cuz we is learned. Boy, were we wrong. From the beginning, we were behind, and it was fun. There were tons of clues in all forms, red herrings, and lots of surprises. The room was kind of dim but that added to the atmosphere. We had a host, who was monitoring us from outside. We were allowed three clues, and he also helped us out when he could tell we were stuck, like when we had the answer but didn't know it.) Geniuses, we were. We finished with less than four minutes to spare. We posed for a free picture that they emailed to me, a fun memento. And as we left, I heard my team happily rehashing the past hour and wondering when we could come back and do another room. If you've never been to an escape room, and you enjoy games and solving puzzles, this is a sure fire hit. Depending on how well your team works together, I think four is a good number for a group. Sometimes six was okay; sometimes it was too many. It depends on how involved each person wants to be. TIPS: *There's a comfy couch and coffee table where you can relax. *Use your phone's light if you need more light. *You can bring in your drinks from the café or bar. *You can order drinks while you're in the room, so you don't have to worry about dehydration during that critical 60 minutes. *Look on the Kokomo Jo's website for deals like Wednesday night 25% off. *Game cards DON'T work for Escapology.

Issak was our host and he did a great job chiming in when we were getting stuck a few times. It was a bit spooky and a fun theme for horror movie enthusiasts. Makes a great date night!
