My work team split into two groups and did rooms 13 and the Gambler. We both escaped before the 60 minute mark - using 2/3 free clues each per room. These were two of the easier - if not the easiest - rooms. No complicated locks, etc. However, nobody in our group knew much about cards, gambling, Vegas etc. so we felt a little out of our league and definitely made some puzzles harder than they needed to be! Pretty simple puzzles and solutions, but with a group of 6 new-to-escape rooms players and mix of ages, there was some user-error. I'd say this room could have easily been done with 3-4 player and probably 2 would have been okay. Staff was friendly, no issues throughout our visit! They also took our group photo after we broke out and sent it to each group member (using our contact info we provided at registration) as we were leaving. Only tip is to arrive early if you want to use metered street parking since that is limited. read more

Always like escape rooms, but this one is really good. Challenging enough but offer tons of help. Staff here is always friendly and helpful. One thing I particularly like is how trey manage the booking systems. Whenever I cook a room for only two of us, we do not need to share the room with others. I thought it was only during pandemic, but it seems that they keep this. This is very helpful because we don't like sharing rooms with others. Very glad that they survived through pandemic and see many people visiting. All the rooms were actually full this morning. read more

Overall great experience. We attempted the Civil war room, which was quite difficult (this was not anyone's first time doing an escape room either). Some of the clues were a bit of a stretch, but they did a great job giving clues. Some of the clues didn't work, so they also gave us some extra time for that. Very fun, I just wish they made the difficulty level of the room more clear before you go. read more

High quality props and rooms. We attempted the Civil War room and highly recommend it. Wouldn't suggest doing it with less than 3 people. You will need at least three people to do it as designed. Some of the clues seem overly difficult to attempt without the aid of a clue to help keep you on track. With all considered it was a great experience and will definitely be back to try another room. read more

I'm an escape room enthusiast. My group of four did the civil war room. It was a lot of fun and I would recommend it for seasoned escapers, but not beginners. You'll need a minimum of 3 people to solve some of the cleverly designed puzzles. The room is dark (boo) so bring your phone light. There is a morse code puzzle, which I generally despise, but this one was one of the better executed ones I've seen and was fairly easy to distinguish the individual letters. There were a couple of puzzles that we enthusiasts call "leaps of logic" and needed better sign-posting, but our game master was generous with clues on those, so I think they realize it. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Breakout yet. Escape rooms are one of my absolute favorite hobbies. I love puzzles, riddles, mysteries, and suspense, and escape rooms combine the best of these ideas. Breakout CoMo has five themed rooms, and I have done two of them - Y2K (the Y2K bug is about to strike and you need to save the computer network before they crash at midnight) and the brand new civil war room. We were taken prisoner in an enemy camp and had to find a way to escape the fort. It was super immersive. We couldn't see except with a lantern they provided, and it took every ounce of knowledge we had to make it as far as we did. We made it out of Y2K, but didn't get out of the civil war room. The rooms couldn't be more different. The clues and secrets are totally unique for each room, and even though I haven't tried the other rooms I expect they are all totally different too. I always have so much fun coming here. The people are super friendly and they always go through the room with you at the end to show you the puzzles you missed or where you went wrong, and that adds such a cool new layer of fun. If you're thinking about trying something different, or if you need a team building exercise or birthday party, this is a really unique, interesting take and I think you'll have just as much fun as I did. read more

This is a great spot, if you need an hour to kill, this is the way to do it. The only beef I have with them is that if you've never done one of these before they don't give you've a starting point or really any info of what to do to start. They will give you free hints and you can ask for 3 official hints when you get stuck but once you get the hang of it you're off to the races against the clock. Claustrophobics need not worry you're not locked into the room there's a button on the door in case you want to get out or take a break. We did the Mark Twain room and all I can really say is it's just a lot of fun and you should totally take on this challenge read more

Just finished my 1st experience at Breakout Como!! Good times!!! I thought I'd give up much faster...Wasn't expecting to be able to complete the puzzles, as I am not the most skilled puzzle-doer but I was pleasantly surprised at the amount I was able to contribute. Definitely wouldn't have been able to do it without my amazing team! We had 4 people in our group and we were all definitely doing our part to figure it out. I did the lost letters escape room at true/false as well and we had 8 people in our group which I think helped us do it faster. I feel like this would be a great team building exercise because you really have to work together to figure it out! Can't wait to do it again when they get more rooms built!! My wife and I wanted to do something "different" for our anniversary and so I thought I would surprise her with a visit to Breakout CoMo. We were both not sure what to expect, as this was our first time ever experiencing anything like this. We were very happy with our decision. The staff was super helpful and courteous while making us stretch our mental muscles to "escape"! We had one of the best times as a couple since we first began dating. This is such a great way for couples to have fun together and see just how smart the one you love really is. I was so impressed with my wife and how much she could do with just a few clues.
