I have been going to this dispensary constantly for 4 years as a medical patient and veteran and loved it the first 1.5 years. Since then, they have SIGNIFICANTLY gone downhill. Both the quality of the products and their point discount system. I used to get 20% as a veteran for years. They just changed to 10%. They used to let you stack all kinds of points and discounts. Now the terms have changed and everything is wayyyy more expensive. Okay so I've been trying to avoid leaving a review bc I usually don't. but this dispensary just seems as if it's going downhill since I've started coming here. So I recently moved closer to here and I am a medical patient. I've been going to this dispensary at least 1-2 a week. The workers here are sometimes rude. on top of that I've been paying for they high rollers club membership and I save my points/ coupons in order to save the most money. They changed their rules to no one can stack over 30% but I pay for an EXTRA 15% off every time I come! So what's the point of the club??? They were usually really good with the discounts until they weren't. I don't know if it's the mangers or what. But when I would save a lot of money they would be looking at me funny and one time they had two managers come check my phone for a discount that was in my high rollers app! The budtenders are generally friendly and give great suggestions and the music is always on point. There seemed to have been some kind of issue with the previous customer and my budtender and I'm not sure if this was a manager or what; but she came to the floor yelling "Hey you come here!" I guess she thought there was a concern of some sort and she thought it was me at issue. The young man hurriedly explain I was not the customer that had the issue, but she still was ignorant and rude for that act. if there's an issue with a customer yelling across a store like that is rude and ignorant and concerning. Mission is a great dispensary if all you need is a gram. 1. Products are over priced if your not recreational. (Flower, Accessories, Etc) 2. You will be taxed heavily and it doesn't help that their card machine is down usually forcing you to use their ATM ($2.50 tax to pull out cash + State + cannabis tax. 3. Their rewards program is only useful for Medical. You get a 1 point for every dollar you spend. You need 250 for $15 off ($250 spent but only $15 off is a joke) 4. Flower is packed lightly (Don't except any bang for your buck they don't have it) What is in the picture is 1g of Innocent (Brand) HighwayMan Flower. It was the second cheapest option in the store at $18 + taxes and ATM tax. Checkout staff is friendly. My only issue is that when I got to where I was going I realized that the seal to my jar was broken and someone definitely had their little thieving fingers in my jar. I feel like the idiot because I said that I would no longer do business with this place at least six months ago, but yet I kept going for convenience and the fact that there is no other dispensary within a 20 minute drive, with all that being said out of the hundreds of dispensaries, I've been to in my life in California to Oregon here in Chicago, Michigan, Colorado. This is by far one of the worst dispensaries I've ever done business with the overall energy of the shop is funky at best downright route disrespectful at worst. Everything in here is extremely overpriced. They don't include the taxes in the prices which will generally be about half the price of the item that you're paying for. I don't understand this phenomenon where they want us to pay more money for product than any other place I've been the flowers nowhere near as good as California but yet it's more expensive than California, your treated like a secondhand citizen, especially if you don't have a medical card. people have medical cards they treat like VIP and even when they are short staffed due to their own incompetence, they have the audacity to make the regular customers wait obsessively while medical patients walk right even if you're waiting for 15 minutes a person can walk in off the street in front of you. This is no way to do business and treat your customers after standing in line for 20 minutes this morning and them not having sufficient staff. They made all of us wait outside one by one walk in, but as medical people showed up, they were allowed in ahead of us, so they didn't have to wait one minute, but you had to continue to wait if you didn't have a card this is so inhumane disrespectful to the customers who are paying these insane over price prices, but then you force us to wait while you get your shit together there is no apology or any form of remorse for treating their customers like this. This place is worth the 1 hour drive it takes me to get there. I live near Wicker Park and there are other dispensaries near me, but none offer the selection and compassionate service I receive each time at Mission. The variety of options here is the best! I often find the premium strains that I need to provide relief, at a lower price than most others offer. My favorites are The Great Fire Sativa Flower and the Verano Sour Mandarin 1:1 Gummies. I discovered my now favorite strain The Great Fire as a recommendation from one of their staff, Darren. I'm embarrassed to say I've been here so many times I know a lot of the names of the staff. Every time I've received nothing but kind and knowledgeable service from Geno, Julian, Darren, and even the Manager Rebecca who has jumped in to help out when things were busy. Even when the lines were full, I never felt rushed when purchasing my medicine. For faster service, order ahead online, and pay in cash or use the CanPay app which links to your bank account. If you don't have cash, they have an ATM inside as well. To top it off, they also have a rewards system that gives you $15 for every $250 spent! No dealer can match that! Been here 4 times. Each time a worse and worse experience. Today, had a 1pm appointment and preordered my purchase. Arrived on time. But they were overbooked, refused to let us get in line. Sent us to our cars to wait with a promise to be called when to return. No call came. 2 hours later we called them. Told to go to the end of the line. Another 2 hours wasted (behind people who came after us). This is the third time I've experienced this kind of shoddy throughput. Felt like I was viewed as an irritation, not a customer. Managers ignored my complaint. "Just get back in line". They only mistreat customers b/c they are the only dispensary on the south side. Talk to your alderman and congressman. Remove their monopoly. Stopped by this afternoon for the second time. This second visit was much different than my first. The first time was great. Everyone was extremely professional and helpful. This second visit has me wondering what the future holds for this place. There is a security guard who ushers you in once you pass the first doors and have shown your Identification. She really had me feeling like I was having a "Soul Plane" or government assistance experience when she gave us the "rules". I get it, don't try the products inside and no photographs allowed. There is a way to professionally get this message across to everyone without being so abrasive and demeaning. These products are extremely expensive. bait & switch. and they DO NOT care about rec customers! it's a completely unorganized mess, it's not a mission is just a big miss. wait in a long ass f'in line. then when i get in there they tell me the bathroom is broken, hence the port-potties outside 1st lie (i went to the bathroom when i got up to the cashier line) then you wait in their waiting room, and ppl "help you" i said i want sativa, what sativa's do you have, because after looking at the menu they didn't have any of the strains i came there for, and their menus didn't match up. this lil g from the alphabet ppl tells me they have blue gelato, which is blue dream x gelato lie #2 and g purps roll ups lie #3, and i'm thinking i thought g purps was granddaddy purps, an indica?? but maybe it's literally just g, another strain?? so i order get up to the other line for cashiers, btw the cashier was the only one who did his job right. i never got to see the herb or touch the containers, it was just put in a bag with the receipt. then i leave there and i didn't have g purps or blue gelato lie #4, i had the great fire and vanilla berry pie. i call say this isn't what i ordered and jacob tells me they have never experienced this before, he will call me back. you've never experienced this before? you've only been doing this 3 Mf'in days. your manager didn't go over protocol of what to do when mistakes happen? or when customers are not satisfied, really!!! then he calls me back acknowledging that i did not order that and says they told me i was told i was getting replacements lie #5, who told me jacob? the person who brought the herb to the cashier? the "salesman"? nobody said ish!! and there are no refunds, exchanges. lie #6, they have a policy for medical patients, why not rec? then he tells me the manager rebecca will call me back in 24-48hrs lie #7 no one ever called me, i got stuck with some taxed ass herb, and there is no sativa blue gelato strain that is a mix of blue dream x gelato, that blue gelato is an indica dom strain, SO NOT what i wanted. this fool completely fabricated a whole strain. those ppl don't even know wtf they are talking about, and g purps is granddaddy purp, an indica strain, i'm lucky they gave me a sativa roll up. but how are you going to replace sativa with indica & vise versa??? they are supposed to be trained! they have to deal with patients as well as rec, you can't replace indica with sativa or vice versa!!! and clearly they don't gaf about their customers cause the manager didn't even call me back. plus their website inventory and weedmaps inventory don't match up, lie #8 so you can't even tell what they have or research it, and the medical patients are getting different herb by different companies lie #9. can you tell i am mad?? they should be tryin to help me rectify this situation, but clearly they don't care about you, so don't waste your time or money here. i've been to amsterdam, dispensaries from washington thru cali, and michigan, and never been treated SO POORLY, it's just sad, in my own city. how disrespectful! read more
