My experience has been tremendously more than I could have ever imagined…read more It is an experience that any person of any age can benefit from. Gina accommodates all practice levels. From beginning and beyond. Her guidance, support along with the teachings of not just physical yoga, but for your spiritual sense is incredible. She is who you want to learn from if you are looking to create peace inside & strength on the outside. Her classes are always new & fresh. I feel her prices are reasonable, especially if you just want to try it out & not commit to a membership. I've been at it for 5 months now, and I'm so glad I gave it a try.

I have only taken classes with Gina so far, so I have a limited amount of experience with the studio's offerings, but from what I have seen I can say that Bearfoot offers solid classes for beginner and intermediate yogis. Gina's classes are slow and controlled with good explanations of alignment and balance. She strongly encourages the use of props in the correct manner - level 1 and 2 classes include bolsters, blankets and blocks. Do not expect to get overheated and sweat it out at Bearfoot - temperatures are kept at the comfortable level (something I like) and classes are set at a slower pace than most other vinyasa practices (something I like sometimes). The other thing you get with Gina's practices is a longish talk regarding her personal insights, some stuff about astrology, shamanism, and the various spiritual aspects of yoga. The latter stuff is certainly not my cup of tea, but you may feel differently - her classes are full, so apparently many people do!

AYAH is more than a yoga studio, Kim has created a community. I often joke that the studio is my home away from home. The AYAH studio is a beautiful, serene space; the minute you walk in you can feel the love and caring that Kim has put into it. AYAH offers classes for all levels of yogis; whether you're just starting out or have been practicing for years there is a class for you. In addition to yoga classes, Kim offers a wide variety of workshops to enhance your spiritual growth and deepen your practice. I have attended workshops regularly and have always enjoyed the experience and felt benefits received from attending were well worth my time. As for the other instructors, I can't say enough! Alexa, and Adrienne teach yin and restorative classes that are fantastic. Jenna's classes are challenging enough for the experienced yogi but still attainable for the newer practitioner. They all offer variations for poses to help you get the most from their class. Over all I highly recommend you try out a new comer special at Aloha Yoga and Healing; I guarantee you'll be signing up for the monthly membership in no time!!

I've been to Alexa's and John's yoga class and although they have different styles they are both thoughtful and just overall cool vibes. Alexa's class on Wednesday is a gentle & inspiring flow suitable for beginners & seasoned yogis alike. John's class is a strong vinyasa flow that offers modifications for beginner-intermediate. Definitely recommend this studio if you're in the area- you won't regret it.
