They still charged him the $1 for the instant check. I went the next day and was denied cuz I didn't have a RealID or a birth certificate. I reviewed the laws before going to ensure I was compliant. After being denied I asked if that was corporate or store policy which they denied. They said it was state law. My understanding is RealID is only required at gun shows. The big irony is I've purchased 2 guns from this store. Don't go here for guns or ammunition.

Overall I had a successful trip to Ross. One thing I didn't appreciate about this El Centro…read morelocation was twice I asked for help but the staff member didn't have a clue as to what I said, or how to tell me in English what I needed to know. I could see in their eyes that they had a genuine desire to help me. I stopped in to buy myself a souvenir hat from El Centro, and to browse about to see if they had anything useful for my car. The hat selection was very limited. Mostly Ball caps, and those beanies closely resembling the Old Navy watch caps. They also had a bucket hat, but it's pastel color wasn't for me. i was hopping to find a golf hat. I ended up buying a ball cap with a US flag on it and a phone holder that attaches to the mirror. This will be useful for times when I use my phone as a GPS or watching movies when parked. The gal at the checkout spoke English and checked me out quickly and accurately. I don't think she cared about me coming to Ross to buy a souvenir hat. Which I felt was a dollar more than I anticipated. The did have a better selection of men's ballcaps than Walmart had. And a far better deal on the phone holder. I probably would have shopped around a bit longer but I started getting hungry. When a i couldn't find white Fruit of the Loom briefs. I decided not to seek help with the staff since twice before I was unsuccessful at getting the help I needed, so I decided to go to Del Taco for lunch. Be sure to check out my review for Del Taco in El Centro. Thanks for reading .....

Anyway I have to give them credit for being super well organized, most stores would have been trashed with stuffs lying around all over the floor.
