Fruit and vegetables are always fresh and tasty. They are very helpful. I always buy fruit bowls from them whenever I visit someone's house.

I completely get that the weather was extremely cold but to pick up the hero's and them to be completely frozen to the point of me having to not only try and thaw them by placing them close to the heater (which only made them worse) but having to cut them because of the lazy employees that work there just can't finish doing a simple task I also had to throw out all the tomatoes because they were frozen solid and the lettuce started to brown. I'm not the only person who this happened to and when I went to return the boards I was hoping to see the manager but they only had young people working there and they didn't deserve my anger. This place has become a joke of a once proud establishment, they now even outsource there bread because they can't meet the demand. Stay away and go to other places because this place is a disaster!!

They have so many food services available to the public. I want to start with their AMAZING bakery. The best bread in NYS! They make all kinds of "designer breads and rolls" including their bacon and egg baked into a flat bread. Pizzas, meat breads and any other items. If you can think about it, it's probably there. They have custom meat cutting as well as a very well stocked meat isle. Their seafood department is top notch. They have everything and you can always count on the fact that it's fresh. They also have a vast amount of prepared dishes that just need to be cooked or heated up. The deli area is also amazing.... They have their own NSF meats as well as Boar's Head and other specialty brands. The 'fresh soup' area sits right by the deli counter. Plenty of fresh vegetables and cheeses. The dairy selection is also quite extensive. They have a fantastic sushi section. It would not be fair to write about NSF and not mention their amazing team here. Everyone here is friendly and helpful. There are just not enough good things to say about NSF. All their stores follow the same model so you always know what to expect... EXCELLENCE! Kudo's to the team at North Shore Farms.

Small, medium, large, seeded, unseeded, semolina, whole wheat - bread - Toscana looks best - but Ciabatta stays good until the next dag. Regular and semolina Italian - round loaves - baking right there rows of dough being proofed. 2) Customer service. I have never been treated better by any store of something not right - they make it right in 10 seconds with a smile. Label? Good enough. No angry girls - girls that are cool, open more lines up - help bag - your way - just a culture of warm and where you want to shop. Desert? Ah lol a few perfectly good basic cheesecakes - fresh and with fruit or plain. Cookies - some- things in from other places - yes fluff pound cake- baklava- a few things plus more of their own. Seafood - fresh enough for me to buy their seafood salad for lunch on the way home - have bought shrimp, cod etc all good - and active!! Tomato sauce heaven - various tomatoes, and jar sauces - bigger selection if in the mood for a different kind etc. Michaels of Brooklyn - a few kinds, Leonards! Yum - two kinds - basil or marinara. Even the fun Scalfani jar.. for quick marinara at home just like in Little Italy if you don't want to cook your own. fresh pasta, mozzarella, salads, fruit bowls, daily soups and a deli. Deli is good but not close to hot foods needing reheating of Ivareone - but I'm less of a reheating deli person. A few things thats it. Id say second in deli of the four or five main places people go. There is a sushi guy making takeout rolls. Holiday time - warm bread needed? Bookmark for when in the area for easy grab and go om the food - bread a fast moving line if mid day.

A friend recommended it and despite her high praise, even she undersold it. You must get the hummus (I opted for the pine nut) and Turkish eggplant dip (a small container of each will run you $9-10 so it is not cheap but it is worth it). Each dip has the perfect thickness (not to watery or too thick) and was delicious. I heard good things about the bourekas and they had a new brisket boureka out so I bought a pack (10 or so in the package for $22, sold frozen). You heat them in the oven or toaster oven at 350 degrees for 20min. They were absolutely delicious, perfect texture (crunchy outside, soft inside) and the meat inside had so much flavor. For dessert we bought the baklava and pistachio mamoul. Everyone raved about the baklava and I really liked the pistacho mamoul as they were not too sweet (don't let the powdered sugar on the outside fool you). A very kind lady helped me find everything (though if you spend 5min walking around the store which is not that big, you can find everything yourself). Again, everything we bought was absolutely delicious and while it is not inexpensive, you get your money's worth. Absolutely worth checking out, I would be a regular here.

I will surely come back and shop here for my family gatherings. The one small criticism I have: for many many years, growing up in Forest Hills, Queens, where we patronized an original great falafel place, I always came to order 2 HALF falafel, rather than a whole. It's much easier to eat it when cut (simple sandwich principle). This place charged me 2 x $8 for the halves, when a whole falafel is just $13. That's a big difference for what is essentially the same thing. Just saying.

This location is the "nicest" as far as selection and store size compared to the other two. What I wasn't expecting was a difference in taste. I assumed everything came from an Uncle Giuseppe's outside kitchen, but now I'm wondering are the things made in store because everything except the raviolis tasted VERY different here. The jalapeño party dip, spinach and artichoke dip, and the vodka sauce ..... don't get me started on that sauce... it was awful. When I was younger my little brother liked spaghetti-o's and that is exactly what it reminded me of... it was seriously inedible to my family.. not including my little brother haha. Funny thing is I like the sauce from the other locations, but this one was so bad. The stuffed mushrooms were completely tasteless, but I buy them from the other two locations weekly and they're always good. I hate to leave a crappy review, but I loved the store and was so disappointed the taste wasn't there, except the raviolis, they were good as usual.
