I'm naturally attracted to merchandise that can be used to store stuff. At the same time, Gayle would advise that I buy less "stuff", thus minimizing any further container purchases. So here I was in West Des Moines, primarily to look for luggage at REI. And much to my pleasant surprise was this Container Store, just an easy stroll away. I wandered around for a while imagining the possibilities. I ended up with some hangers (which for some reason we always need) and a couple cool storage boxes. Sorry Gayle. :)

Their eager attitudes and super friendly service has won my allegiance for the next time I need a moving crew. I sure wish more business owners were as "hands on" as Andrew. Very well done! Oh! I didn't even mention the excellent job wrapping each item in a moving blanket then stretch film to prevent damage. That was a nice touch and appreciated greatly. First, the crew that moved me was nice. I hired them because they were local and had seemingly…read moregood reviews. However, they broke several big items. They broke a 6 drawer dresser (now the bottom 2 drawers are unusable because they broke part of the side that also had the back leg) , a headboard (completely snapped one of the legs off) and a 55" 4K TV (completely unusable, they cracked the screen). We have moved many times and I understand things happen, but I have never experienced the valuation process that they require. Basically asking for receipts of the item broken and how it got broken. Well, everything was fine and usable before your crew touched it and now it's not. I couldn't watch them while they moved everything and it's unrealistic to even ask that question. When things have been broken in the past with other movers, they made it right and paid to replace the items. They gave me about 30% of replacement value credited back. I still have to replace what you broke, but I'm responsible for the majority of the replacement cost. That's not good customer service. Also, if you have a Sleep Number bed, don't let them touch it. Mine still isn't right. Even though they told me that have had no issues and have moved a lot of them. Well, they don't see the issues because it's after they are gone when you notice there's a problem. I would not use this company again. I would give them .5 stars if I could.

Billy the owner was rude to my wife on the phone multiple times while she asked for status updates. Once the fence was completed he did not do a final walk through and left the post holes unfilled. To top it off, the fence was built a month ago and with thirty mile an hour winds the fence blew over and our dogs ran out of our yard! I would never suggest him not even to my worst enemy.
