They were hired for all air vents and a dryer cleanout on a 2,000 sq. ft. house, and particularly a bad smell coming in the laundry room. On the day of the cleaning Chris and Lee arrived during the agreed upon time window. I showed Lee around the house to the various vents and asked questions about the places I couldn't fully clear a path to the vent. The house's vents hadn't been cleaned during the time I've owned the place so it needed significant work. The same applied for the dryer. The cleaning took roughly 3 hours. I think they did a good job and made sure to take care of cleaning any messes their work caused. The one exception was the dryer blow-out which was left under the outdoor vent. My single gripe was that the final price ended up $100 over the original quote without discussion. However, it was clear that they had a lot of work to do that couldn't have been known without taking a look at things.

Our house included 2 bedrooms, 1 hallway, 2 stairs, and a basement for $300. We had a pet stain and marks in the carpet from our furniture. They said they could get out the pet stain and the carpet marks. The stain was gone, but the marks in the carpet from the beds and dresser remained. I didn't see the carpets before they left because they told me my feet would leave behind prints on the wet carpets. Normally, I would call and bring them back to correct, but we had photos scheduled at the house the next morning. They also told me it would take 2 hours, but were there for around 40 minutes. I was told they did the location, which was not too far from the previous location. DUSTOUT was a small company of 3 or 4 people, including the owner when I had my parents' ducts cleaned, and there was no answering service back in January. In fact, I spoke with the owner himself, who was helpful and knowledgable. In that they were a small company, I wanted to help them by making a point to give them a good review for good service. Fast forward to now, they have a whole answering service apparatus with a phone tree. Everyone loves an answering service with a phone tree! /s So I left a message with the details of the new job. They said they would call back. They didn't. I called *three more times* over the space of a week. I emailed the owner. Nothing. Crickets. I asked if they had new ownership and they said, "no". I asked for an estimate like last time, and now they tell me that they don't give estimates before they arrive. Now, one is supposed to allow them to come and they will tell you how much the job is after they arrive to do the job. (?) Who would agree to that? Not sure what to believe about DUSTOUT now. I have *still* not received a call back. I have not received an email back. So I hired another small company. I'll keep you guys posted on the job he does. I guess DUSTOUT used to be great, but I have no idea what is going on at this company now. I guess I'd say avoid DUSTOUT until they can get their act together. ***CERTIFICATION: They are no longer listed at the NADCA website as being "NADCA certified air duct cleaners" as of 3/23/26. Previously, I was told by DUSTOUT's owner that every member of their team was certified by NADCA.

We called Pure Ducts out to clean our vents on our older home. They did fantastic work for a great price. We were thrilled when our condo chose pure ducts to uninstall and reinstall all the ductwork for a major structure project.
