Husband and I were visiting friends in Dorking, and were so happy to discover this new Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is clean, modern and very welcoming. The owner is Bengali, and encouraged us to try some unusual dishes from his home that don't appear on the cookie cutter menus of so many other Indian restaurants. The food was delicious-full of flavor, lacking in the unpleasant overuse of oil, cream and salt so common in other places. While you can sample some out of the ordinary regional dishes, classic favorites are also available and prepared superbly well. The only dish we didn't think met the otherwise high standard was the samosas-pastry was too hard and needs to be more flaky and tender. Small gripe, hopefully can be improved upon by this accomplished chef. Can't wait to come back! read more
