Walking into this place I'm reminded of a typical, hard working pub - the sour beer smell, the TAB packed with punters, the bar will taps of ice old beer. Then the bistro - clean and bright and stuck right in the middle of the pub. The choice of feed reads like a fancy menu, with the prices to match. Not really what I'd expect from a pub bistro but I'll give it a go.
The serving sizes are great, the taste is great, the quality is great, the staff are great - the prices are the let down. It's way to e expensive for what it is, especially considering the choice of eateries next door that are much more 'fancy' and in some cases cheaper.
It's hard to give the place a bad rating, because the food and service is great. But the place smelled like no one had cleaned the bar for days, the price of the food is way too high, and nothing says disappointed like a bar running out of popular drinks at 5:30pm on a Saturday. read more
