As I'm getting ready to discharge, I wanted to share my experience at Miracles in Action. From the beginning, the environment felt supportive, professional, and well organized. The facility is clean, calm, and welcoming, which made it easier to stay focused and present during treatment. Communication was clear and consistent, and I always felt informed about my schedule, care plan, and next steps. The therapists, doctor, and counselors are highly qualified, certified, and deeply experienced in recovery. What stood out most was how individualized the care felt. The staff genuinely takes time to understand each person's situation and adjusts treatment accordingly rather than using a one size fits all approach. Beyond traditional therapy, the program offers additional support that made a real difference for me. Weekly sound baths and guided meditation helped me slow down, reset, and gain mental clarity. Those sessions became an important part of my routine and overall progress. They are also in network with insurance, and the team was transparent and helpful with coverage, which removed a lot of stress during an already important time. Connecting with other patients, it was clear how impactful this program has been in their day to day lives as well. As I prepare to discharge, I feel grounded, supported, and more confident moving forward. I would strongly recommend this program to anyone looking for high quality IOP or PHP care in the San Fernando Valley. Thank you for being there when I needed guidance and support the most. read more

Miracles in Action - Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) - Counseling & Mental Health Near Me - Northridge, California

I'm 25 and finding Miracles in Action was a turning point for me. If you're looking for an addiction and mental health treatment center in Northridge, CA, this place genuinely delivers. From the first call, the team was supportive, professional, and easy to talk to, which made starting treatment way less intimidating. Their Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) are structured but realistic for real life. They focus on substance abuse treatment and mental health care together, including anxiety, depression, and dual diagnosis, which made a huge difference for me. Group therapy felt relatable and practical, and the clinicians actually explain things in a way that sticks. The environment is welcoming and respectful, not judgmental or overly clinical. They offer flexible scheduling and telehealth options, which helped me balance work while staying consistent with treatment. Insurance was accepted and clearly explained, which took a lot of stress off my plate. If you're in your 20s and searching for outpatient addiction treatment, IOP, or PHP in the Northridge or Los Angeles area, I highly recommend Miracles in Action. Extremely unprofessional! I have been trying to reach out via email and calls for over a week and no response. I FINALLY got a call back yesterday only to hear some lady talking about taking off her underwear and how inappropriate that might be. I kept saying "hello?" Hoping they'd hear me but they just kept going on and on about no underwear and being naked. read more

treatment was ok, however I randomly received a bill for 112,000 dollars even though i was cash pay. They are milking sick addicts for profit. Don't fall for their trap with your insurance. Stay far away.. *No its Not erroneous Amna the only reason you brought it down is because my dad is a lawyer and saw through the BS, funny all the sudden my bill was brought down to $4,451.40 after he contacted you.. *I was cash pay but you guys suggested iop on top. so i fell for the trap with my insurance too. read more

On the surface, this sober living seemed fine. But later it became clear to me what it was. A house manager that grunts at any reasonable request (meeting attendance, ride to doctor, groceries, etc) and shames you for asking with a lot more issues. I have ADHD that's unmediated due to my recovery and I constantly got accused of "being high". Even when I drug tested and passed whenever requested. This was not okay, as people are supposed to lift each other up. Recovery is hard. It just is. It's a team effort. I was put into a room with literally the loudest snorer I've ever experienced (not his fault) but got yelled at for sleeping in the closet, the couch, and even outside. So naturally my mental went kind of crazy when I was sleep deprived. No one was willing to make room changes. I was assaulted by a client by a hard back book being thrown at my face while asleep. I stood up to confront him, and the bulky dude continuously threw punches in my face and kicked me many times when I was on the ground. I was simply in the room trying to find insulin at 4 in the morning as my blood sugar was off, being as quiet as possible. So a few hours later this is what he did. This is also not the sober livings fault by any means. But they also made didn't even acknowledge me when the management came to kick him out. I had come home late the night before and that same day my non-abusable antidepressant pills were found in my bag, so I could take them in divided doses to lessen side effects. Then I was "asked to leave" literally that day, an hour after the assault. Even when requested, the staff made no attempt to find another sober living that would work for my needs. Then I ended up living in my rental car for several days, it was one of the lowest lows I've experienced in sobriety. I ended up finally finding a great sober living in tarzana with reasonable and loving staff, with handpicked clients. This was an absolute godsend. Here I am, still clean writing to tell the tale. They even seem to have no intention on reimbursing rent money after I had written a rent check with money I barely had just a couple days before. This was after asking gently and respectfully, several times. It's tough to pick a sober living that works, it's a snap decision in some ways. But let me save you some time, and steer clear of miracles in action. God bless and have a successful recovery read more

Friendly staff and excellent service. So grateful for MIA! Life saving! Thank you Amna and your amazing team!!

My experience at Miracles in Action was such a positive steppingstone in my life. I'm willing to speak openly about being in recovery because there are others out there who are also looking for help and deserve to have honest feedback from people who went through the entire program. When I arrived I was given an individual treatment plan that best suited my needs. My treatment team was supportive and helpful every step of the way during a difficult time. I can honestly say they care about all of the clients and treat everyone with the respect they deserve. Miracles in Action gave me my life back. I will always be so grateful. read more

I stayed at Miracles from November 1 through February. I do NOT SUGGEST YOU COME HERE IF YOU HAVE 1 DAY CLEAN. this is definitely an after care place that will help you STAY clean, not GET clean. You are allowed to have your cell phone, your car, and freedom. As long as you come from an inpatient with a minimum of 2 weeks clean and sober. Amna is very kind and wants to sincerely help you. I did relapse there, but that's no reflection of the program or the staff. I simply wasn't ready. The counselors are very knowledgeable, and Wendy made some life changing comments and taught me some permanent life lessons. The therapist Kelly was very kind and REAL...which is hard to find. I genuinely felt safe there. I had a problem with insurance and that is why I had to leave, and most staff members were sad and scared to see me go. I didn't stay clean after I left, but now I am happy to say that I have 10 months. My time at MIA did make a massive impact. The house manager is a man who doesn't always conduct himself professionally, he isn't sensitive to your situation or your feelings, but imagine getting close to people...only to watch them overdose or leave. I'd keep my walls up and stay distant too..and maybe what works for him is to give the impression of being mean and cold. Hurt them before they can hurt you type of thing. The rooms are nice, there are relapses but that is based on who you align yourself with in the house or in the program. Trouble is weeded out quickly. Amna provides outings and movies and fun stuff, as long as the house is acting like a family unit...supporting each other in life and recovery. You do program all day (like 9-5 job hours) until you earn a lighter schedule. And INSURANCE PAYS FOR IT. it is a program and a sober living in one. It is a great business model and I wish I had found this place when I was 20 and towards the beginning of my drug demise. I shaved off one star because it is co-ed and the management could be better. Co-ed can work for some, but for most FEMALES....if you are under 40....go to an all girl place. You don't need the distraction of the opposite sex. I also dealt with advances from a roommate of mine, who touched my legs under a blanket on the couch, and I froze and didn't tell anyone because he had been there a while and had been there numerous times and was friends with staff...so I thought I would be asked to leave if I brought it up. After I turned down his date offer, and never sat next to him during a movie again, he got pissy and angry and talked shit about me to other patients in the house and said VERY PERSONAL AND DAMAGING things about me to staff and others, information that was said in confidence when he was pretending to have my back and be my friend. That was, until he didn't get what he wanted. Regardless... I remember what was said to me the first day I showed up. "They will give you enough rope to hang yourself with"... meaning they cut you slack and give you freedom that you probably shouldn't have...so APPRECIATE IT..BC IF YOU SCREW IT UP, YOURE GOING TO HATE THE OUTCOME AND HOW THE RULES CHANGE FOR YOU...which is why I said you should probably have a minimum of a month before coming here. I'm pretty sure you can bring your pet here too, if it is approved. If you have the opportunity to go here, take full advantage of the gift you have been given. As another review stated... you will be treated shitty if you relapse or are around drugs or alcohol. But that's what you signed up for. If you find lipstick on your husbands collar you don't ask questions...you kick his ass out. Same concept. At that point it's not about allowing the addict to manipulate their way out of their bad behavior...it's about protecting the house and the people that live there who are genuinely trying. I've been on both sides of the spectrum, so I know from personal experience. I was blessed to get the lessons that I did from my stay at Miracles In Action. read more
