The most important thing to him is that the job is done right. He always pre-treats our roof, pool patio, and paver driveway before cleaning. This guy is Shady. My real estate and vacation property rental company waited 11 days for a response to our request to pressure wash one of our properties in Pembroke Pines. When we received no answer, we contacted Richard again via phone and he said he would get back to us to schedule a date. Several days later we received a quote and told him to proceed. He then advised us that he requires payment PRIOR to showing up to the job! We explained that we are a property management company located in Palm Beach and would need an invoice and proof that the work was completed to issue payment via credit card, PayPal, or check. (His choice) He again demanded payment in advance or would not do the job. After having been in business for 35 years in South Florida we recognize the number of Hialeah Hustlers and con men who demand payment in advance and never show up to the job. We offered to send a copy of our business license as well as a copy of the deed to the home to show proof of ownership but he still refused and demanded payment once again. At this point I thanked him for his time and informed him that we would no longer be requesting his services on any of our properties. He then called my cell phone and began ranting angrily and talking in hostile tones about threats. Not sure what this guy thinks he's selling or what he believes he has to offer over the 600 other pressure wash companies in South Florida but "Shady" doesn't begin to describe the ordeal we just experienced. My husband hired this company to clean and seal our driveway pavers. Unfortunately, he probably did not discuss the job in clear detail, as my driveway has now been completed, and does not look good. There are a couple of large spots (transmission fluid, I think) that did not come out with the cleaning. This did not stop them from continuing with the job, and spraying the sealer. I don't know what the point is to having done this job if I still have the problem that it was intended to correct. In the company's defense, they came out as they were supposed to, and I very much liked the way they cleaned the driveway. They used a machine that was actually a scrubber (looked like a floor polisher) and also a pressure cleaner. I could smell the strong bleach that they used, which was also a good thing. But after all of that, the stains remained, and they are obvious. At that point, we either had to use a sealer that would have concealed the stains (if such a product exists), or replaced the pavers before continuing. I did not have the opportunity to consider any options. The morning after the cleaning, I left my house for just over 4 hours. During that time, they had come, sprayed, and left. I spoke to a neighbor about two hours after I left my home, and she told me it was pouring over here. Well, I don't know how long that sealer was on there for, or how much washed away, but I DO KNOW that my driveway shows little improvement over how it looked originally. Had I been aware of the fact that the sealer was going to be sprayed and not rolled, I would not have let them proceed with the job. Perhaps my husband got a low price, and this was a case of "you get what you pay for". I do not know. I DO know one thing...we need to get our driveway done! read more
