You slide around in the basic amount. As frustrating that it took THREE attempts to get my tub/shower to have a minimally textured, the lying and rude guys were the worst part. The first four hour work resulted in a LOT of TEXTURE. Gregg, who was their "best installer in Maine and New Hampshire," told me the texture was due to the surface of my shower walls. Umm, excuse me, my shower walls were sleek and shiny. Then, the rude shop manager came to sand off the texture. Due to no working light installed in the shower yet, I took a flashlight to look at the walls to now show him the POCK MARKS. He said, "No disrespect, but no one will ever look at your shower with a flashlight." Feeling disrespected, I told him that I would call the home office and get his work fixed. Like a petulant child, he said, "Well go ahead and do that.". To his credit, he didn't stick out his tongue at me. Third time was the best finished work. The original guy came back and told me that the "orange peel" texture was because the trucks are left out in the 30 degrees or less temperature with all their product left inside there. First of all - there WAS texture for it to be called "orange peel. Second, it was cold product and not my shower. I expressed surprise at why they even work on refinishing during those cold days. Gregg then told me it was new product. I was seriously not believing him at that point. Anyway, the third time, there was less texture. I was now told that with sanding and all that product that they use that there was no way it was going to be a sleek, smooth mirror finish that a new tub/shower has. WHY wasn't I told that by the very nice sales guy??? I would not have had an unrealistic expectation.

Over the years, I had spoken to different contractors about restoring the original flooring in my home that showed a few generations of wear, aging, scratches, scuffs, etc. Each suggested I put vinyl over the wood. I never liked that idea. I recently had a serious leak in my kitchen that seriously damaged my floors to the extent of a large section being removed and other parts were swelling. I was referred Prestige by another resident who loved the results of their work. Shane got back to me instantly, stopped by right away and provided a quote the same night. The pricing was fair. Communication was high throughout the project. The team is highly skilled. They came when they said they would, took care with my home and belongings, were professional and friendly. All the work was by hand, so much hard work and detail went into the restoration. They minimized the time we had to be out of the house and worked hard to get it done in the promised timeframe. When I finally saw the product, I was instantly emotional, burst into tears, and they hugged me. I had never seen my floors so beautiful before! They expected payment before we even had a chance to look at the finished project. Three separate attempts at doing one tub. There were and are still runs throughout. The last time they came, they had to sand the previous hack job. They never tarped off the work area, sending dust and debris throughout the entire living space. They also over sprayed the flooring we just put in, the vanity and countertop. Stay far far away from Linda and her crew.

They sanded, sealed, and poly'ed the…read moremix of engineered wood and prefinished hardwood in my newly purchased home, and rebuilt a staircase from pergo to real wood (and sealed and poly'ed) for a good price, quickly, and with no dramatics. Two other floor people whined about the engineered wood and the prefinished hardwood and how much they didn't like working with it, and Juan was like, "Ok, yeah, let's fix it up for you!" He spent time with me to figure out the color, made adjustments in the plan when we realized the risers couldn't be salvaged, and was just fabulous to work with. I've already recommended him to a friend and will have him restore my grandmother's cedar chest. One floor refinisher was almost 2x Juan's price, and one was 1.5x more, and neither were very nice. Don't hesitate to call Juan!
